Yep I'm definitely scared of them. They got so much athleticism it is crazy. Hopefully the mavs play a smart game and exploit the size of the Warriors.

There is no such thing as 85% of Dallas Maverick fans. Those are band wagon fans, There are only 25 real Maverick fans in this country And I am one of them so put me in the 15% who know that GSW are going to their ass's kicked!

I would be worried if we were playing them. They are a very dangerous team.

I'm pretty sure the mavs will win this series. I just don't know what to expect from this warriors team. They look pretty fearless and cocky.

Mavs have no good post scoring presence which is not a thing you want to lack against GS.

Agreed, 100%.

I have always tried to defend Mavs fans, but after seeing this poll, it shows how full of shit a vast majority of Mavs fans are. The only people that would not vote in that 85% are people that actually follow the Mavs closely, watch all their games, and know how meaningless and full of shit those GS wins really were. I'm fuckin embarrassed to be a Mavs fan right now. It's fuckin sad...

Stephen Jackson alone should give you flashback nightmares. :king

The dangerous thing about this team is that almost everyone, down to Baron, can post up, and almost everyone can shoot the long ball.

He is the ONLY guy that worries me one bit. If the Warriors win even ONE game against the Mavs in this series, it will be because of him.

pretty typical of the Dallas automatons to read into everything the media is saying about the series and then regurgitating it like it means something.

This series goes 5 games max. Dallas will give Nellie plenty of reasons to drown his sorrows in beer after this series.

The sooner this series is over, the sooner Nellie can fly home to Maui. The last few years in Dallas he had more time to focus on his short game at Dallas National...this season he had the chore of coaching a basketball team, so I'm sure he wants to do some catching up.

They aren't THAT dangerous. If Dallas stumbles they were a pretender.

I'm sure he's thinking more about Cuban trying to screw him out of remaining contract money than golf. Golf will be there anytime.

I actually think he handled being shoved aside for Avery pretty well. If he went and golfed a bit (or a lot), who could blame him?

Gee, I wonder if there's any way that Warriors fans could have gone to that site and simply checked 'yes'.

He didn't get shoved aside at all. While he was head coach, he would routinely SKIP practice to go golfing, letting avery run the show. While Avery was gameplanning, Nellie was taking other coaches out for beers. And of course he was never one bit interested in coaching defense, even when it was painfully obvious that the team would never amount to anything until somebody held them accountable defensively. Nellie showed time and time again that he had no more interest in coaching the team, and Cuban made the move.

Now just because he didn't put forth any effort coaching the last couple of years doesn't mean that he doesn't deserve credit for building the team. But for people to think that "Cuban screwed over Nellie and gave the job to Avery"....well, that's just completely false.

Good to see Mav fans still posting here. Look out your topics and posts will get deleted if you ask any questions Spur fans hate to answer after a loss.

Some of you Mavs fans are overreacting a bit to the poll. It's just a poll on the internet that anyone and everyone can anonymously vote on. For all we know half the people who voted aren't even Mavs fans. Plus you find a high number of retarded fans for every team on the internet.

I'm sure he's thinking more about Cuban trying to screw him out of remaining contract money than golf. Golf will be there anytime.

How the **** did Cuban "shove him aside" when he came to Cuban and told him his heart wasn't in coaching anymore? Cuban gave him money to retire rather than tell him to **** off for quitting on the team. Nellie came out of retirement, so Cuban doesn't think he should pay him any more. Go ahead and try to find a corporation that disagrees. You won't. Fact of the matter is Cuban took care of Nellie real good.

First time I have heard about Mav fans being invited, doesn't suprise me though, given the nature of this board. When most mav fans first got here they were less than respectful, but when they saw what a great environment this board has, most calmed down and became great contributors. If you are invited to someones house, does that give you the right to act like an ass? No, and for the most part, ST allows free speech to reign, but some posts go over the line, or waste space. Also, unfortunately posters always see their thread misssing and assume it was deleted when it was most likely merged. I would love to know of any other team specific boards out there that has great content and gives such a long leash to fans from other teams. So please don't make this sit out to be the next coming of the third reich.

Yep, GS is so good they won 41-42 games this season. They'll probably win a game or two (this IS the NBA, after all).

But, I bet that Spurs fans are much more concerned with the Suns than the Mavs are with GS. And, if they're not, they should be.

I'm glad that Dallas' "meaningless" regular season record means that they don't have to face BOTH the Suns and the Spurs- just in case they manage to get past GS.

im not scared of GS at all. this is the playoffs. one of our losses came at the beginning of the season where we started 0-4 and only lost by like three points. the second game was off of a back to back after the 40 point win vs Lakers. we werent ready at all.

third game we rested everyone. if the Warriors think they can pull it off now that they have our 100% focus, they have another thing coming. this is playoff basketball, teams that dont slow down the game and take good shots will be eliminated early. they will take bad shots and they wont get back on D, and they will get run out of the building :clap

LETS GO MAVS, LETS GO MAVS

I am far from a bandwagoner. But I am still scared of GS. Although I think it's highly unlikely they can win the series. I will not be surprised if it stretches to 6 or 7 games just because of some lucky bullshit for them.

There is no huge sign, I was Invited by a Spurs fan who posted at MavTalk. and thus I invited another and so on.

doesn't suprise me though, given the nature of this board. When most mav fans first got here they were less than respectful,

You really want me to dig up some disrespectful things Spur fans say about Mav fans? (Glass house) alert!

this board has, most calmed down and became great contributors.

I guess you don't visit here that often after a loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

If you are invited to someones house, does that give you the right to act like an ass?

Even if the folks who invited you to their house are acting like asses themselves? Pot Meet kettle!

No, and for the most part, ST allows free speech to reign, but some posts go over the line, or waste space

According to who? You, or the trigger happy Mod?

Also, unfortunately posters always see their thread misssing and assume it was deleted when it was most likely merged.

5 Topics and 68 posts where deleted that day alone. If you really think they were merged? you must still believe NASA actually landed on the moon.

I watched ESPN Classic they showed the 1994 series suns/warriors and the warriors basically play the same defense they played back in 94, they tried to slap, strip the ball from whoever had it and Barkley lit them up for about 700pts, in the 4th qtr the warriors offense went cold and nelson freaked out.
