They played like shit in the first half, and Manu and Duncan sucked majorly. That's why we lost, if in fact we do.

Hunger has nothing to do with missing shots. Just a bad day at the office. We've seen this before guys.

I think Spurs were hungry at the beginning and during most of the game. But they were continuously shocked by a totally different Denver team they faced in 05 or the ones they studied in video room 24-48 hrs ago. We're much younger, faster, hungrier, more talented, and more physical.

It's just these things that make them rattle a little bit somewhat... but good news... I expect the Spurs to be a lot more aggressive in Game 2. Bad news? We Nugz will even be more aggressive than Game 1 having learned all that 05 lessons.

so the nuggets changed who they were from the end of the regular season to last night?

Cause thats who the Spurs viewed in the video room.

I mean, the spurs do stack video on opponents other than the games they play against them :lol

^lol

At some you will change... look at Dallas, they had to "transform" too from totally an offensive minded team to a defensive minded one... I think everything just "clicked" for us. I'd circle the Kings game (road) on 11th March was our turnaround of the season. We started to play solid D from there on.

Denver surprised me a bit with how easily they were able to break down the Spurs defense. They even kept their heads when Jack Nies was melting down against them late in the 1st half.

That said, I look for Pop to make the necessary adjustments and for the Spurs to win the series going away.

One game does not a series make.
