That was some sorry basketball.

The Spurs looked like they were not a professional team.
They were outhustled. They were intimidated. They were psyched out.
They did not take care of the basketball.

Denver looks like the better team and has homecourt advantage.
Even if the Spurs win the next game by 40 points, it is still a split.

How are they not aware of the fact that they are getting killed on the boards or that they threw the ball away 8 times in the third quarter? After a couple of turnovers, don't they realize that hey, I better take better care of the basketball? After all of those second shots, don't the guards realize that they need to help get those long rebounds? Doesn't Tim realize that he must box out his man on the boards?

If they play like this, they are not one of the top 16 teams in the NBA.
Had they played like this all year, they would not have made the playoffs.

The fans left probably because they decided that if the Spurs don't care enough to try harder, they don't care enough to stay and watch it.

If Spurs win by a lot next game (which based upon extrapolation of this game is not foreseeable), numerous Spurs fans will be exhuberant, failing to do the math and realize that splitting your home games is not good if you want to win a series.

Hey, at least one team in Texas played well and the Mavs will take care of business.

Also, glad to see our friends in Detroit are playing some good basketball.

Go Pistons and Go Rockets!
