Agreed, agreed, agreed. Now that people have a chance to put this game in perspective you can see that we are in good shape, despite the loss. Melo and AI had 31 for Christ sake, and still look at their margin of victory.

I have a feeling Duncan is going to have a monster game on Wednesday. You know he is pissed right now...

The Spurs scored bigtime by getting Jack Nies AND Bennett Salvatore out of the way in the first game. Both are members of SpursTalk's "Low Five".

The officiating was excellent tonight. The Spurs wasted a good game by Salvatore and Nies.

While the Nuggets shot 25, indicative of how fucking passive they were on offense. I seriously doubt we'll see that again this series.

At least it appears they were fairly active on defense. If they can continue to force turnovers and get out and run, while improving their aggressiveness in their half-court offense, they'll win.

and people need to stop comparing this nuggets team to the team in 05...hey idiots...ALLEN IVERSON is playing with CARMELO ANTHONY...anything can happen at anytime either one can take over game 2 by themselves...spurs seriously have their hands full..and its only going to get more difficult as the playoffs move on(dal, phx, finals)

It doesn't matter that Bennett and Jack officiated "well" in relative terms. Bennett or Jack just seem to be around when the Spurs get an L. It's like Cottage Cheese. Stay away from it...cause there ain't nothin' but fat people that eat the stuff.

No, but it might have been good had they actually gone ahead and won the game, otherwise they could just tank the next three and get those crews out of the way, too.

It seems pretty clear to me that the NBA assigned a very veteran crew to make sure that the speculation about retribution from the refs would die quietly. It was probably difficult to get the Spurs to the line as many times as they did.

You know, it wasn't all that astute the first time.
