Duncan was listening to his iPod during the 20-minute
warmup before the game. On Tuesday, Carter was informed by the NBA
that he couldn't listen to his because it violated the league's
rules on proper attire. Carter told a reporter what Duncan was
doing

Whether he's a puss or not, Duncan shouldn't be doing it either. It's against league rules.

I heard Duncan was listening to John Tesh, so all is well.

Vince needs to get his ass kicked. He's a bigger pussy than Doug Christie.

Just when I thought celebrating a win by his team which was a direct result of him taking a seat was ridiculous...

I've got no problem with it being against the rules (well, actually, I do), but to tattle to a reporter? Come on, Vincy.

Kori Ellis

Well maybe he didn't exactly tattle. The reporter could have been asking about the league telling Vince not to do it, and Carter could have said something like, "a lot of guys do it, Duncan was doing it today"

You do?

You do?

I just think the players should be able to jam out before the game if they'd like. Obvoiously not during the anthem and introductions, but if it's shootaround, I think it's fine.

Well they can in the pregame, just not in that last 20 minute period.

I used to get spanked for tattling, WTF?

:lol

If it's against the rules, then I guess he shouldn't have had it. But still...tattling? :lol

Well to be fair, Kori is right. Rules are rules. I think its a dumb rule but Duncan should follow it. I don't see the issue with any players listening to their ipods. Damn fashion police!!!

True....but why can I just see Vinsanity snitchin' him off? :lol

The NBA is not a sponser of Apple or any Ipods...since it's a definate affiliation with IPOD, it's against the rules.

I've seen you with headphones on before games and last season you didn't cut your hair for a while...so do you have any pregame rituals or superstitions?

I just started this year warming up with my IPOD music. I find it easier to focus on the game and kind of tune-out all of the other pre-game activities on the court during warm-ups.
The only superstition I really have is that I wear my practice shorts backwards during practice. In college I came out of the locker room one practice and later realized my shorts were on backwards, so I didn’t bother to correct them. I had a great practice, and ever since it has been a tradition for me.

As for my hair, the length is totally coincidental. I just cut it when I get a chance. No ritual for me there.

Was TD listening to Ron Ron?

Carter is a sook. Hope he gets a boo or two next game we meet him.

Whether he's a puss or not, Duncan shouldn't be doing it either. It's against league rules.I thought it was only prohibited during layup drills
and only for non talented has beens so Duncan is excluded

Regardless of whatever else is said, BINGO! You hit the nail on the head. It's all about money. How sad!
