Walton Buys Off Me

We just got back from our road trip to Toronto. Great trip, lots of weed and booze and championship swagger but watching the Spurs fall apart in the fourth to inferior competition made me want to choke the shit out of some idiot Raptor fan. Tim Duncan was twice fouled trying to dunk the basketball late in the fourth- no call on both occasions. Tony Parker was totally abused by Rafer Alston from beginning to end, the kid is really starting to piss me off. Manu Ginobili and Brent Barry were about as useful as tits on a bull. Bruce Bowen was solid on both ends of the court and should have played more minutes IMO. Beno Udrih was completely and totally insignificant.
........on to Memphis tomorrow.

Definately a game to forget. One game a year I get to see this team and we play about as bad as we can possibly play. I'm depressed :pctoss

On on footnote, THJ was so insanely messed up that he tried leaving the hotel room without his shoes last night.....

Did you go up to Rose and tell him what you think of him?

Agreed. Barry and Manu were getting blown by over and over and over in the fourth while Bowen sat out on the bench. I understand he had 4 fouls but jeeze, it was the fourth quarter.

I blame this loss on Pop primarily for letting Bowen sit on the bench for too long.

Props to the Raptors for rallying, though.

that would require him actually having a pair.

Did you go up to Rose and tell him what you think of him?We sat far from the floor but I would have liked to. That stupid bastard couldn't do anything right in that game. His defense was so shit that he made Loren Woods look like an all-star. Now that's bad D. I don't know what took Pop so long to put Horry in the game.

He was definitely fouled on at least one of those dunks. Regardless, the Spurs never should have been in that position in the first place. Pop seemed happy to let them squander their lead without blowing a gasket to teach them a lesson.

As I said before, the team had been playing sloppy and with a sense of arrogance. I guess Pop wanted to see if they could right the ship without his intervention. They couldn't and they only have themselves to blame. I hope they learned something from this game. Too bad it had to be the one game a year I can watch live. :depressed

funny thing is I wonder if all this complaining would still be going on if the Spurs hadnt acted like the game was over after 3 qts. I'm just glad that Duncan stepped up and claimed responsibility for the loss. He is the leader and everyone was just following his example.
