I'm just trying get an accurate headcount of what we think the WCF will shape up to be like. Normally I would say that game 1 has no merit, however, the Warriors looked dominant.

Before the series started I said the Mavs in 7. I stand by that now.

Please, Spurs fans only. I know who the Mavs and GS fans are likely to pick. I'm attempting to gauge our thoughts as Spurs fans on what could be the outcome of this series.

Haha, I was ahead of you. I didn't know this would post before I could make it a poll.

I think Mavs in 7 as well. Warriors have it in them to push this to 7, but I don't think they can beat the Mavs in this series. The Spurs fan in me wants the Warriors to win, but the realist in me knows it's unlikely given the talent and depth of the Mavs. The Warriors do present matchup problems for Dallas, but I think they have the personnel to overcome that.

Defensively I don't see many adjustments that will work. Avery needs to tweak his offense to create some higher percentage shots and also to get Nowitzki back in his comfort zone. I think the Warriors did a nice job defensively in Game 1 (yes, I typed that realizing who coaches them). Yes, the Mavs garnered the 1 seed by being a quality defensive unit, but that advantage has been diminished in this series. Going 'big' would be a mistake. You know, sometimes you just have to focus on outscoring teams to win and not worry so much about the D, even in the postseason.

you know you got problems when the guy with the biggest balls in your team is wearing a suit and tie.

Mavs in 6...possibly 5. Mavs will adjust and find a way to get this team out of its way.

Spurs in 6 or 7...but a lot tougher. Nuggets are a harder team to get out of the way so it will be a challenge.

Dallas in six. They're a way better team, but everyone knew they were going to be pushed hard by Golden State.

I understand what you're trying to say, but how can you say the Nuggets are tougher for the Spurs than GS is for Dallas? The Warriors are a PERFECT matchup against the Mavs, even as a 42 win team.

i think we're all forgetting that the warriors haven't even used sarunas jasikevicius yet...he's still waiting in the wings, biding his time, eyes narrowed to shrewd, menacing slits...watching...watching...
