i gave up on normal ones with cheap components that keep breaking down and bought a numark turntable for $80. no problems with it in 4 years at all. simple belt drive that can be repaired easily.

You can get a new table from about $100 to $400.
Depending on your needs and type of quality you want.
180 Grams on San Pedro used to sell some personal portable Numarks.
Not sure if they still do.
