What is up with those earlier stories about Ketchup in the dug-out?

Well this gives me solace in why the Cardinals didn't bunt at him in Game 2 of the World Series :lmao

Not only do I think it was paint but I also think he was on the juice.

Paint does not turn brown over time. Look at the pics of the sock that is in the HOF, it is all brown now. WTF would he put paint on the sock? He had surgery the week after the Series, he was not faking the injury, numbnuts.

Dr. Jim...I was not questioning if the sock... (prop if you will)...in the H.O.F. had real blood...Of course they would check that....The story was about putting ketchup or dye or something on his sock during the REAL GAME....

Also I think it is unfair to say that Schilling took more juice than Canseco or Bonds....Get Real... :dramaquee

Thorne's retracted, so this is a non-story.

But for those of you who have followed schilling over the years, from his Baltimore --> Houston --> Philly --> Arizona --> Boston days. He's always been a diva, so I wouldn't have put it past him.

OT: He was part of the absolute worst trade in Baltimore Oriole history. Steve Finley/Curt Schilling/Pete Harnisch for Glenn Davis. That trade set the Birds back 5 years.

I remember being pissed about that trade. I loved Glenn Davis.

i heard schill made a wager on his blog for whomever will take it - if it isn't blood he will donate 1 mill to the A.L.S. foundation - if it is blood loser donates that much.
edit:

Someone gave me a great idea to end this once and for all. No one will ever need to bring it up again. I’ll wager 1 million dollars to the charity of anyones choice, versus the same amount to ALS. If the blood on the sock is fake, I’ll donate a million dollars to that persons charity, if not they donate that amount to ALS.

Any takers?

Mirabelli denied ever saying it, and Thorne now says he "misunderstood."

Schilling criticizes media, offers $1 million blood bet on his blog...

It sounds awfully suspicious...Why go to all that trouble if there is not at least SOME truth to it... :smokin

This story would have died a quick, barely noteworthy, death if Schilling would have let it. What a diva...

The standard denial and "taken out of context or misunderstood"

What reason would Thorne have to back away from his claim if he was sure he heard right?

And what makes Mirabelli's denial "standard"? Would do something different if someone pulled a claim out of their ass and attributed it to you?

I can't believe this is still a story. Clearly a lot of people want to believe there's some shred of truth to it but the source has been exposed as a fraud. Time to move on.
