Yeah, DPOY my :donkey too.

Call me bitter or something, that award should have gone to the Spurs.

How is it that the Spurs are consistently one of the top defensive teams yet no one is ever awarded DPOY? The fact that the DPOY this year comes from a team with such a joke of a defense is just blasphemous. I guess the Nuggets can be happy to have something to put in their trophy case for once.

Tim is the fucking man, i wish he would show emotion just once after a block or something, it might pump up the other guys

Tim Duncan shows emotion when he wins championships and Finals MVPs. Anything else is a useless expenditure of energy.

That's all the emotion you need.

Bruce was right about that on his interview they played during the game. He needs to get an honorary DPOY trophy for coming in as runner up the last 3 years.

Timmy dominates Our "the Spurs" defensive end without him and a couple plays from horry "finally some1 helps Tim out" we probably wouldve lost

It's even more ironic when you consider the fact that the nuggets have a terrible defensive backcourt. Camby I guess just hasn't made the most of his opportunities. that or ginobili and parker are too quick for him.

This will be what Karl will start complaining about next.

"Camby isn't getting enough blocks from the officials!"

It' because nobody who votes for the award actually watches any NBA games. Instead they just pull up the stat sheet at the end of the season, see who averaged the most blocks, and maybe rebounds, and vote accordingly. Otherwise Timmy would already have a couple, and Bruce would have at least one. I'm not saying there isn't an argument for Camby deserving it, but the award truly is a joke. Timmy should have absolutely won it this year.

..........flash to year 2010........Today at 1:00 pm CST The 2010 NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs today rejected an offer to trade veteran Tim Duncan for the entire Denver Nuggets team. Team officials weighed the offer and after a private conversation with teammate Allen Iverson and assistant Coach Finley concluded that more was required in the trade package, specifically, all future 1st round picks until the year 2025 and most of the resort complexes located in Denver proper that haven't been frequented by Los Angeles Lakers personnel.

In a footnote, Spurs great-grandfather Robert Horry was asked about his impending retirement at the end of this 2010 championship run. Mr. Horry was nonplussed and mumbled something about needing a footlocker to place his all his rings into.

If there was an award for Defensive Team of the Year we would win. Maybe that is why none of our guys win it. We are a great defensive TEAM, but between Bowen and Duncan it is difficult. Horry played big defensively last night as well.

They are taken for granted. Being a great team defense year after year must numb the objective minds of the selectors.

Like TPark said, it's a shower bag. And he usually has it if he speaks after he's changed.

Except when he wins championships. Then he has his video recorder with him and his MVP trophy on the table. :smokin

Tim is averaging 4.33 blocks per game, while the next closest is Amare at 2.67. Amazing.

I like what Doc Rivers once said... Do you want ML Carr waving a towel, or 20 and 10 every night?, in response to people who said David didn't show enough emotion.
