I agree. They're not getting a favorable whistle in some ways, but this deficit is of their own making. Too many missed layups and free throws and at least 10 first half turnovers are a recipe for being down this much in a playoff game. The Mavs shooting 54% isn't helping, either.

Really, this isn't even an NBA game. It's incredibly entertaining, but it's all emotion. Both teams are making dumb mistakes, but the pace of the game is so fast that it kind of covers them up.

Mavs started shooting hot, GS finished hot. Golden State shot themselves back into it with 3s and And-1s, and Dallas was getting pretty good penetration inside.

The scary thing for the Mavs is with the energy they started with, I doubt they'll have any gas in the tank left at the end of 3. Book it, the fourth quarter belongs to GS. If they're within 9, they will win.

That and 10 turnovers and 7-12 from the line (58%) make it a minor miracle that the Warriors might start the 3rd only down 6. The Mavs have shot 51% from the floor and 50% from behind the arc while playing the Warriors pace, so the Warriors have to think they're in pretty good shape.
