Sorry to break up the Mav hate fest, but this little tidbit on ESPN caught my eye:

Shaquille O'Neal has been on the short end of six playoff series sweeps during his NBA career: three with the Magic (1994, 1995 and 1996), two with the Lakers (1998 and 1999) and now one with the Heat.

The only other player to be swept out of the NBA playoffs six times was Darwin Cook, with New Jersey (1982, 1983, 1985 and 1986), Detroit (1987) and Denver (1989).

Don't forget the utter beatdown the Lakers had in 2003 to the Spurs and then in 2004 to the Pistons. Both were very nearly sweeps. Anyone remember before Game 1 of the Detroit L.A. series how the celebrities were on the court showing the Lakers a few "tips"? Hilarious.

And yet, amazingly enough, we still have as many rings as you in the past 10 years.

Who is in a better position to win another one this year, pray tell?

The *purs have 2 ˝ championships in their storied history to the Mighty Lakers 14!!!!

You know why? Because the *purs are nothing but selfish individualist...Where as the Lakers have ALWAYS been a TEAM....

No one player on the Lakers are as good individually as they are as a team....They are all points on a 5-point star...There is no envy on the Lakers, no jealousy, there chant is hit the open man...They are like one body with five hearts....Currently their soul in KB-24.... :elephant

In a couple more years, Laker fans will console themselves by telling the story of the time the Lakers were down 4 games to none to the Spurs and came back to win the series anyway.

That might be the craziest statement I've ever read in this forum. Ever.

Screw the supposed Laker "fan" ... obviously a pathetic attempt to remain relevant since the Kobes are getting steamrollered by the Nashes.
