Does anyone in here know why certain people (e.g. George Karl, and I think Bill Walton?...among others) insist on calling Robert Horry "Whorey"??

Am I missing something here? Is it like a noWitzki/noVitzki thing? I always thought it was "Oar-ee" but these occasional "Whorey" advocates keep trippin' me up from time to time...

Are they just being dumb about it or what is it?? Sorry, I usually just ignore the "Whorey" sayers and just keep on with my "Oar-ee"...but I think this issue has reached the brink of my curiosity now...it can't be ignored any longer

It's ok though. The misspelling seems to emphasise your mispronunciation point.

'orry or Horry?

Is this 'onestly a problem?

There are very few words in English where the leading h is silent.
Horry isn't one of them.
