omfg... we're number 2 in ft%..... what the mother fucking hell.

Not surprised at the number. They weren't very aggressive in game 1, the refs weren't calling much of anything in games 2 and 4. I am pleasantly surprised at the percentage. Shooting 90+% from the stripe was a difference maker in game 3 IMO.

Even more stunning stat is the 81% from the line.

And Cavs shooting the best? Aren't they the worst FT-shooting team in the regular season? Wow

:lol It's because Duncan hasn't been going to the FT line...

Don't tell me that there has been no backlash from the Joey Crawford affair.
Stern, take note...if the Spurs get this same lack of respect from the refs against Phoenix, we are not going to beat them one game, much less 4 games.

Huge surprise who tops that list.

One thing I like to see is that after Phoenix and LA, we are 3rd in FG attempts. We're also #2 in Assist/TO ratio, which is awesome to see.

what about points in the paint?

There's no Field Goal attempt when a foul is called; thus the more FT's a team takes, the fewer attempts they take.

Somewhat misleading stat, IMO.

You can attribute it to Denver committing the 2nd least amount of fouls.

a.k.a. the Ghost of Crawford Past!

It's because Duncan hasn't been getting to the line.

Duncan has gone to the line once for every ten shots taken this series. This compares to a career average of once per six in the playoffs. And that is with very physical play from NeNe.

The trend continues last night with Tony getting hacked or shoved plenty on his drives yet only his lordship A.I. getting to the line for much less.

17-13 FTA for Nuggets on Spurs home court?

This will change in the next series, when Nash "guards" Tony.

The Suns are at 21.5 free throw attempts per game, that's actually down from their regular season attempts (22.3), in which they were ranked lowest of all the teams in the NBA. Their FT% is also down from the regular season, from 80.8 to 74.4.... Maybe the Spurs aren't in as much trouble as imagined, at least in terms of keeping up with the Suns at the line.

I think that was the one where Manu took like, almost all of them. :lol

It's because Duncan hasn't been getting to the line. :lol

Now that Tony and Manu have elevated their games by like, 10 percentage points both. He's the main reason we're still one of the bottom free throw shooting teams this season.

Huge surprise who tops that list.

First thing I noticed too.

Imagine if the trend continues and Mavs and spurs face in WCF. (Go warriors !) 32.8 vs 16.8 ft's

Then expect 1000000... threads about the refs

Joey Crawford effect.

No joke. Duncan looks like a pinball against Nuggs and hardly gets to the line.

i'm glad to see that, i would hate to think we were the type of team that relies on the refs to win games like the mavs and heat.

this series was apparently just clean series, SA and Den are #1 and #2 in least fouls committed so far this post season.
