Kori:
Back to basketball instead of fight rankings at least but,
Hate to raise this every week but how heck can the Heat (for one) be ranked higher than the 8 and 2 Spurs? - Kori's explanation that the Spurs dropped to 4th after blowing a lead does not make up for the fact, that no team, except for Seattle, ranked above them have beat them. Simply put, on a realistic power level, the Spurs are no worse than 2-3 in the league right now (and probably are number one). These rankings should not flucuate so much with only one loss (especially a relatively close one).
Why?
Spurs losses have come on the road and a 4 and 2 record is fully acceptable even whoever they are playing, especially early in the year. The Spurs have played a lot of road games early and their strong start is a credit to them.
Suns are a mirage = as soon as they face defensive teams their statistics will drop like a comet. They started out like a ball of fire with large margin wins but this diminishing. Seattle will also soon fall back and are already vastly over-rated. They caught the Spurs on a hot night but jump shooting teams do not last. The Heat have talent but some of their wins have taken heroics that are unlikey to last. Who have they beat? The went out West and came back with their tail between their legs.
