Great series, which again proved the Nuggets aren't a top team yet in the West. They have the talent in the starting 5 but their bench has alot of work to be done. GK needs to go and bring in someone who can teach D and half court sets.
The Spurs outplayed the Nuggets when it counted and i hope next season the Nuggets get it together and stay healthy and end up with a top 4 seed.
Kmart will be back (even though most dont like him he is a great defender)
Hopefully Camby will be traded (hopefully for some bench help)
It sucks the season is over early but at least it means the front office can get started on tweaking the team for next season :spin
Good luck with the Suns.

You better hope they package K Mart and Najera.
Evans should've gotten lots of minutes tonight.

:lol come on Tpark. Who the heck would trade for Kmart and Eddie? not even IT would do that :smokin
Camby has lots of value still and i think id like to see him moved for bench players and picks or something.
Reggie hasnt played at all this series has he? and GK is a friggi' idiot for that. The guy gets 19pts and 20boards in his last regular season game (although against scrubs) and then he sits all playoffs.
GK has to go for anything to change but i dont think the FO will do it.

Yeah Evans playing Najera's minutes, would've made this a FULL 7 game series.
Whenever Nene or camby was brokenup, the Spurs dominated the boards.

AI/JR/Melo/Kmart/Nene - Starting 5
Blake/Diawara/Kleiza/Evans/Sampson - Bench (although hopefully it will be have some more experience through a trade)
Id love to see Adelman or Carlisle brought in

Nuggets Fan -- Thanks! Props to you for dropping in -- mighty classy of you!!!
The Nuggets are not far away from having a super dangerous team! The playoff experience will be invaluable to some of the players who have not experienced that type of atmosphere.
Best of success in the offseason for your team to find that missing piece of the puzzle to help them advance next year!
Take care! :tu

Yakhouba Diawara is a rookie who hopefully will end up like Bowen. He can play great D already in the league but his 3 pt shot is still off.

You'll be back. the kids got some seasoning, and you need a bench, but you have a good core in Melo, AI and the finally arrived Nene (he has been unlucky with injury, but there was no excuse for being 40lbs overweight for most of this season).
As for KMart being a great defender... I think he's not nearly so great as you think. I remember the 2003 Finals. :lol And besides, on a max contract you better deliver more than just decent defence. I'd be shipping him if you could find any takers.
As for Camby, maybe ship him under the principle of sell while he's at his best, but I'd be tempted to keep him depending on his contract. What is it?
Oh, and Karl is a joke. I was also wondering why Evans got no run. And wasn't Diawara kicking arse in March-April? Why not give him some minutes when it became clear that JR and Kleiza were getting owned?
Anyway, classy post, all the best next year. :toast

PJ would be nice option :smokin :lol
Pacers old coach (Carlisle) or Adelman would also be good.
GK has to not be so reliant on the starters (like D'Antoni) coz then the bench never gets experience or confidence. The team should run 9-10 deep and not just 6-7
The thing about Kmart is that the Nuggets used to have to use him to guard bigger guys sometimes if Camby couldnt. Now Nene is getting better and stronger, he can guard bigger guys and Kmart can be left to defend quicker wing players if need be.
Bring on next year. Id like to see one year of limited injuries, no suspensions, and great team chemistry from the outset

Props to the best Nuggets poster on the board. Even if he is a Elson homer.

Trading Camby would be a mistake, in that, the Nuggets would become pretty much another Phoenix Suns team.
If you do trade Camby, just go ahead and bring in Adelman...

:lol Frankie 4 life!
He will get the ring he deserves :smokin
I feel sorry for Melo. He has made huge steps forward and was a monster this series (game 5 was rough) against a team that owned him a couple of years back. His rebounding has improved and he was doing all he could and then his 'help' still doesnt arrive.
Very disappointing series by AI. I know he was playing hurt but i expected alot more from him

the problem is that Camby is the most valuable asset that can be moved. This team needs some serious bench help and he can get it and maybe some other pieces.
Id like to see Adelman come in. Or even just get rid of GK and let Adrian Dantley take over :smokin
This team will never go far with GK as coach

If I were the GM, I would hire Eric Musselman, but thats just me.
Getting rid of KMart, or Najera would be priority one for me in the offseason outside of the draft.

yeh. He also dribbled way too much.
The front office has already stated that next season they are going to use AI as a playmaker and run offensive sets around Nene and Melo.
AI cant play like he did in philly. This is different and he has people who can score if he gets them the ball.
AI has his best games when he has 8-10 assists and gets his points when they are available.
Move him back to PG and let him set up Melo/Nene
Great Series Spurs. You guys are just brutal and overwhelming. There is no one who can stop you this year and in many this Denver team is a tougher match-up than the Spurs will be.

I like Allen Iverson alot, adn I always have. I was thinking that maybe this series would make me not like him as much, but nope... he's still a great competiter and a good guy.

4get the draft :lol The Nuggets have no picks . 2 2nd rounders for JR (still worth it), 2 1st rd picks for AI (it better be worth it next year)
They will always try and move Kmart but im not sure if they will have any takers. I think they need him to play and show people if he is healthy or not and then people may start asking about him.
Did Musselman get fired from Sacramento already?

Thanks.
Nuggets just need a couple of dependable bench players and a new coach and they'll be scary-good next season.
Don't mean to dog the coach, but throwing JR SMith under the bus before this game was the epitome of stupid.
I really thought Ai was going to help the defensive pressure for Melo. But nothing changed. Still I thought Melo was the best player on the court a lot in this series, Nugget fans loved to see that.

yeh. Thats the feeling that alot of Nuggets fans had from the start. Most of us (that i know anyway) knew this season would be that great but next season would be the big one.
I hope that works out that way but things can change quickly lol
