I guess manu isn't even the 3rd best player from the spurs...So let's give most of manu's minutes to Finley who has been hot the last 2 months

What do y'all say?

I say drawing conclusions based on one game (or even one series) is foolish.

I see the bandwagoners have arrived.

How far back would I need to go to find the "Time to send Finley Packing" posts?

Oh, and I think there were several "Horry needs to retire" threads as well.

Now everyone is better than Manu.

Sit back......I look for Manu to go off on the Suns......

They have no answer for him.

As far as the comparison goes......Two different players.....Two different styles.

Yeah, Fin has been hot from the 3 point line. But remember the night that Manu put up 24 consecutive points in under 5 minutes on the floor?

How soon we forget what a impact Manu can have on a game.........Like the night he went off for 40 on our upcoming opponent......Bet the Suns haven't forgotten about him.

Sorry, but, stupid thread. :rolleyes :sleep

He was more productive in this series, so in that sense I'll say Finley>Manu for the series. But as an overall player....Hell no.

manu had a ok series but nuggets were suppose to have no answer for manu
hopefully manu will have 4 good games against suns

what? finley's minutes are coming at the expense of the no show barry, which spurs fans have come to expect from barry every year in the playoffs. maybe he becomes the x factor versus the suns...he needs to do something...

manu is fine, denver keyed in on him. suns play no real do so i expect manu to go off.

Yes, because if there's anything this series has shown us, it's that we need to shake up the rotation.

Finley is hands down a better shooter than Manu. But he lacks the ability to suck the defense in because he doesn't drive to the hoop. Manu creates opportunities for himself, but more importantly....he creates opportunities for others. Manu is by far the third best player on this team, and he'll prove it before this playoff season is over.

Oh please... Manu has a bad shooting series and that makes him better or worse than someone else? I think Finley had a better scoring series than Tony... does that make him better than Tony? The way Fin tells it, Tim, Tony and Manu attracted enough attention for them to get him involved more and he was able to come through. It's a team sport. Even when Manu has a spectacular night, he's certainly not doing it alone. And on those nights, I can't recall ever seeing a "Manu>everone else on the team" thread. I'm all for any "Finley Kicks Ass" threads, but any thread other than "everyone else on the team>Beno" is just stupid.

we are going to need both of them in there against the stupid suns, who only score transition points, so speed is a must to slow them down so that they have to set a offense, which we all know they suck at!!

I remember when Finley was in his shooting slump, man I hated the fact that he wouldnt just drive in and get to the free throw line. But yeah now hes making those difficult jumpers so you'll get no complaining from me. Btw he is not better than Manu.

For someone who had a bad shooting series, it was still nice for him to put up 18pts ppg except with the exception of the last game. Plus, he filled up the stat sheet.

Nevertheless, if Manu doesn't play well the spurs do not win the championship.

Haters are pretty irritating.

Ducks>Powerpower (at least ducks has a handle on the game)

w/o Manu drawing the attention fin doesn't get the open shots. Denver was so concerned about stopping Manu that they left fins open and he delivered. that's how a team works , while your stupid thread is idiotic.

For the forum's sake, I'm just glad it was Manu who had an off series because if it was anyone else on the team, the forum would be melting down with "Tim is done!", "Start Jacque", "Bowen sucks" type threads.

Manu will be fine. Even last series, Manu was still the better player than Finley even though he was shooting 30% or whatever. Only in Game 5 can you really say Finley had more of an impact on a game.

Even if Manu is shooting badly...he does so many other things. Also...even if he is having an off night, because he can catch fire at any time, the other team has to deal with him on the court...they can't just ignore him.

Manu Ginobili is the greatest player in the history of basketball!!! All three Spurs championships are owed to Manu's greatness. Even in '99 Manu used ESP and channeled his awesomeness into that year's roster in anticipation of eventually wearing the Silver and Black.
