Hey Spurs fans,

I have been emailing back and forth all season long with this former Suns Player Eddie Johnson. He's pretty funny (wise guy) and i was just waiting for him to start giving me a hard time about the Mavs again. And finally he has.

But i have told him all year that the Suns will lose to the Spurs in the 2nd round. You guys should take turns writing him and posting it.

Here is his latest to me.....

Suns will beat the Spurs. No answer for STAT

Well I knew we would have trouble with GSW. I predicted Mavs in 7 and I am sticking with that prediction.

And don’t laugh too hard when the Spurs dispatch the Suns in 6 games!

Eddie,

You guys were Dominated in every single category by the Spurs last night except FT shooting and that is only because Timmy went 2 for 9.

You got beat from the field. You got beat from 3’s. You got beat on the boards. You even got beat in Assists!

Now tell me again how it is that the Mavs have to worry about the Suns when the Suns won’t even get passed the 2nd round vs. the Spurs?

Don’t look now but the Suns might even lose the #2 spot to the Spurs and lose home court, especially when the Mavs lose on purpose to the Spurs on April 15th to help the Spurs and hurt the Suns.

Dominated!

EJ is a rather notorious Suns homer. I wouldn't start looking for objective analysis from him.

Isn't this the same guy that got arrested for molesting an eight year old girl, among other things?

Must be another guy right?

Wrong Eddie Johnson.

Wrong Eddie Johnson.

I figured that, pretty common name...

I know a Kori Ellis that has done some bad things as well, probably not the same woman...

He is, however, the Eddie Johnson that was actively hoping someone would take Manu out because he's such a dirty flopper.

In that particular context, "dirty flopper" meant "ridiculously clutch player who singlehandedly burst my chode as I watched."

I doubt anybody around the Suns has forgotten the Barbosa incident.

Which was intentional, right?

What was "The Barbosa incident"?

If Ginobili ever flops into one of his teammates' knees, I'm sure the Suns will be willing to forgive and forget.

People here like to rag on EJ but he even said after the Barbosa incident that Barbosa needs to be more aware of guys falling on the floor under the basket.

He wasn't as hard on Manu as many Suns fans are.

ok then, just have bell elbow and push his own teammates and we'll be square

Bell and Manu will have a floppa-palooza.

So Raja does those things by accident, then? :lol

Sure, all EJ said was that Manu was a dirty flopper and that he hopes somebody "takes him out"...

Are you talking about this Eddie?

They talked about this on TNT's Inside the NBA. They called them the Good Eddie Johnson and the Bad Eddie Johnson, and said . They like the Good Eddie Johnson and solicit his opinions. They talked about how he is constantly confused with the Bad Eddie Johnson and how he has to explain over and over again that no, he's not a criminal or a sex offender.

I Googled and came up with this article from last year from the ESPN web site (it's not there any more, so I cut/pasted it from the Google cache): LINK (http://209.85.165.104/search?q=cache:xo0tHgmJiOgJ:sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/quickie%3Fdate%3D060811+%22good+eddie+johnson%22&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&gl=us&lr=lang_en)

I can think of someone who had a worse week than Maurice Clarett: Eddie Johnson.

Not the ex-NBA player accused of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl. That dude can rot in hell.

No, I'm talking about the ex-NBA player now known as "the GOOD Eddie Johnson," the nice guy whose image was wrecked by the case of mistaken identity with Bad Eddie. Need a handy guide to distinguish?

Age
Good Eddie: 47
Bad Eddie: 51

Size
Good Eddie: 6-foot-8
Bad Eddie: 6-foot-2

NBA Career
Good Eddie: 17 years
Bad Eddie: 10 years

College
Good Eddie: Illinois
Bad Eddie: Auburn

Current Role
Good Eddie: TV hoops analyst
Bad Eddie: Accused molester

Because he's earned it, let's give Good Eddie the last word:

"My name is everything. I don't fault the other Eddie Johnson for having that name. I think it's a great name. He just doesn't happen to be a great guy."
