Utah wins this series. If Baron is healthy, then I would say Jazz in seven.

Of Utah, Houston, and Dallas...Utah is the most capable of stopping Golden State.

Who is going to stop Boozer?

Utah in 7.

Boozer's too much inside, and Williams and Fisher are tough, physical guards who can match GS's guards. No big matchup problems in GS favor this time - Utah in 6

I want GS, because it would be cool (if the Spurs advance past the Suns) to see them make the WCF, the crowd would go insane!

And I'd want our boys to close out GS's little Cinderella run.

The warriors still have the quickness and speed advantage over utah. Baron absolutely abused fisher last time they played. Boozer will definetely hurt us inside though.

Boozer is going to beast...2 points at a time. He's also only a fair FT shooter (68%), so look for some hack-a-Booz if they start getting in a rhythm offensively. Utah is going to be forced to pull Okur. He won't be able to hang. Fisher is too slow. The only real perimeter defenders they have are Kirilenko and Deron, and they can cover exactly two guys out of the five man run n' gun posse. GS forces the tempo and size matchups and wins in 6. Utah won't take a game in Oracle.

Of course, if BDiddy goes down, or Jack gets thrown in jail next Thursday (allegedly his hearing date), I withdraw my prediction. :lol GS has a lot of contributors, but Bdiddy is the engine and Jack is the transmission.

Jazz in 5.

I give GS no chance in this series, simply because all the matchup advantages they had in the 1st round against Dallas are completely negated against this Jazz team. Moreover, Baron Davis's health is always a question mark, especially after the pulled hamstring in Game 7. Deron Williams is a tough, strong PG like Baron so I think that matchup is pretty even, unless Baron continues his phycho play into this round :)

I never thought in a million years that the 2nd round matchup in the Western Conference Semi's would be: Golden State vs. Jazz. Both teams looked lucky to even be in the playoff hunt at one point, and now look at them?

Utah in seven. Boozer and Okur will be big in this series. Kirilenko will have a big impact defensively as the Warriors may not penetrate as much because of his knack for blocking or altering shots.

Home court will keep the Warriors in this series. But, don't forget, the Jazz' crowd can be just as loud as any fans in the league. That could be the difference since Utah has HCA.

If Davis' injury lingers, this could be over much sooner.

Much as I'd love GS to do it, I don't think they can stop Boozer. Jazz in 6

As Boozer goes, so goes the series. Utah in 7 I think, but a GS win would not surprise. The Jazz have something Dallas doesn't, a low-post beast.

This will be an interesting series. Utah doesn't have the matchup problems that Dallas had. However, if GS plays with the same intensity as they did in the first round, the series will be a toss-up.

Just to make a prediction, it will go 7 games.

The Jazz will kill the Warriors on the glass, and Boozer will have a field day all series long.

Deron Williams can hang with Baron Davis.

The environment for the visitors in Salt Lake City is just as hostile as in Oakland.

Unlike in the previous round, the Warriors aren't facing a band of gutless, heartless losers.

The Achilles heel for the Jazz? I don't know who is going to stop Buckets, unless he is stopping himself. Kirilineko is long and athletic and maybe could frustrate him, except I think after 5 minutes about Buckets, AK47 would be crying and looking for his mama.

Still, Jazz in 5.

Utah in 6.

GS has to be worried if Kirilenko is waking up. This is not a great match-up for them. They don't have a real low-post defender, and if Boozer shows up like he did in the Houston series it's over for them.

Guaranteed, S-Jax will throw up about 10 unnecessary shots, shoot at least four unneeded bullets into the air, and forget he doesn't have any handle 1.7 times a game.

i'm surprised more people aren't picking golden state. anyway, this series will tell us if GS really is playing well or if they only own dallas.

i'll say GS in 7, but only b/c i want them to win. logic tells me utah takes this series in 6.

If this is the Rockets team, I would have picked Golden State.

Utah have Boozer who is a physical presence inside. Kirilenko is the x-factor.

Man, I would love Golden State to advance to the West finals, but matchups favor Utah in 6.

gs has to deal with a low post presence this game so it'll be interesting to see what they can do to counter that. boozer is a beast in the post.

from a Spurs point of view the Jazz scare me more. Jazz are good defensively, have a great frontcourt and a top PG. Plus Jerry Sloan is tough as hell.

Spurs vs Jazz in the WCF and people are scared?

Come on. IF Spurs beat the Suns, the Jazz is not going tp beat them.

I guess I'm not impressed with the Jazz yet... beating the Rockets is NBD (how many playoff series has T-Mac won again?)

Warriors will take this series in Six. No way Jazz win in Oakland, and GS can steal 1 in Salt Lake.

Another question is who is going to stay up for this game? I'd like to, but I think I'll need to rest before tomorrow's game.

Maybe scared is too strong a word but Utah have all the tools to give the Spurs alot of problems.

They have a great frontcourt who rebound the ball really well. They have good defense. Have a top point guard, a great coach and most importantly have a big man in Boozer who can go off for 25 and 10 while Okur can also give you 20 and 10. They are very dangerous.

Why would GS get a game in Utah but Utah can't in GS? Utah have proven to be great at home just like the warriors. Utah's fans are very noisey also.

Don't act like GS are unbeatable at home either. They can be beat as the season proved.

Golden State didn't look that great last game.

I know that Utah only won by 4, but it felt like more than that to me.

The thing is that Utah has some tendency to self-destruct or play poorly, based upon the end of the season.

With Baron Davis seeming to be affected by the injury, it looks like Utah in 7. I just don't think that Utah is that great of a road team and the Oracle is a great home crowd.

In my view, based upon what we have seen thus far, if Warriors can win a single game in Utah, they are almost certain to win the series since the Jazz are such a poor road team.

The problem is with Davis's injury and what I saw last game, I just don't think that they can steal a game.
