it appears he is a suns homer because he said the refs gave the suns a ton of calls that decided the game

He picked the Suns to win it all. He can't back off that position even though he knows he is more wrong than right.

Whaddya expect, the idiot is from the Least Coast, where they know NOTHING about championship level basketball and great coaching. Typical take of a dumb ass loudmouth. If you don't believe me, read the quote under my name here about Fidel Castro.

All I know is that if Pop saw that coming enough to draw it up, he's the greatest coach in the history of sports.

There's a reason he's gone from sideline reporter on NBC to in-studio 'analyst' on NBAtv.

So do Andy Pettitte and now Roger Clemens. :bang

i was watching unfortunately, and he called us 'those cagey spurs' and Aldrige was agreeing with him. Then Aldrige called Tim's bag and clothes 'johnny appleseed'

Oh geez, he just laughed at Parker's description of getting hurt, and said Parker didn't know what happened.
I know he's a dumbass, but come on.

NBC fired that fuckin moron back in the day for a reason. He is THE LEAST credible basketball writer.

I met David Aldridge on the Riverwalk before Game 1 of the 2005 Finals. Very nice guy. I was kind of disappointed when his ass got fired by ESPN. He's one of the few mainstream journalist's whose writing I actually sought to read.

Heard that. How anyone could look at that play and not acknowledge that Barbosa pushed Parker is beyond me. Since Parker fell to the ground and couldn't receive the inbounds pass, it had to be called. And it was called correctly.
I have no idea why Vecsey is so bitter.

There's a lot of groupthink in the media about how this was a horrible call. Bitches need to watch the play themselves and figure it out.

Do you remember the NBA on CBS with Pat "let's do some coke" O'Brien, Dick Stockton, and old man Hubie?

they want to see reckless basketball akin to GS. They don't want to see defensive battles. What nice credibility.

He's basically the equivalent of a tenured professor at the New York Post and people are used to him. I'm sure there are many New Yorkers who think he's the equivalent of a horse's ass, but he gets airtime to rattle our nerves. So never take the jackass serious. He's just a lucky s.o.b. is all.

I agree. Vecsey is so anti-Spur it's sickening. Frank Isola speaks from a more non-biased perspective. Although at times it seems Isola is a great Spur fan.

I had no idea Vecsey worked for NBC before. But from the looks of today's NBATV appearance I can appreciate why he was fired. Checkout Frank Isola's take after the next Spur win. He's much more pro-Spur.

The "Least Coast" won the championship last year and two years before...
Florida's not really considered part of the eastern seaboard and I believe Detroit's in the midwest.

Yeah and he picked the Nuggets to beat the Spurs as well so he is clearly not on the Spurs bandwagon these days.

Peter is a, well, peter :spin
Vecsey's one of several that feel comfortable as a Spurs basher because there not too many things genuine left in this world and he feels better wallowing in negativity about a franchise such as ours that is stable and productive in the championship department.

The Spurs beat the Knicks for one championship and the Nets for another. Why would anyone be surprised that he hates them? :)

Try watching it again without your "spurs goggles" on and you will see that Parker grabbed Barbosa's arm and pulled him down on top of him. That is how Tony likes it... on the bottom.
