I know the series with Suns can still go either way but if by some way the spurs beat the Suns which team would give spurs more problems in the conference finals?

We're currently in our most difficult series.

The Jazz are a much more physical team., if Duncan has any problem with Boozer, they could be in trouble.

The Warriors are the Suns lite. They play with no discipline and force way too many turnovers. However, unlike the Suns, they like to crash the offensive boards.

I would think that the Warriors, with the way that they dismantled Dallas would be more concerning.

Jazz, hands down. Physical, great rebounders, and well coached.

Jazz would pose a better match up for us. Warriors have no inside threat and the Spurs would control the pace. Jazz with Boozer and Kirilenko are more dangerous than a run and gun team.

we haven't even beat suns.

Yeah, let's just focus on the Suns......and the lacks of Mavs <--haha

Its a legitimate thread, it matters on the road to the finals. Its not like we are playing in the games and need to focus one at a time. Its a discussion forum.

I agree. You can focus on the Suns, but don't forget to look at the big picture. Look at the Mavs.

I think the Mavs lost because they didn't focus on the Warriors and spent too much time looking at "the big picture."

I realise this. Not saying the Spurs/Suns series is over it can still go either way of coursr but I'm just asking if Spurs had to meet one of them which would give Spurs more problems. Could ask the same to Suns fans too but this is a Spurs board so thats pointless..

Of course, the Suns blahblahblah.

But to answer the original question of the thread (I'm not afraid of the jinx:lol) the Jazz. The discipline, defense and rebounding of the Jazz is more worrisome to me than the freestyle play of the Warriors. The Warriors don't play very smart and in a seven game series, that is definitely in the Spurs favor.

I agree if dirk plays agreesive to the basket basketball and pop plays small ball like last year. I could see dallas being a hard series.

Since the Suns series is already over I think the Warriors will cause the spurs more problems. Who is guarding Stephen Jackson? The spurs will have to go small to stay with the Warriors.

The team that worries me the most is the Spurs...

Playing at their best the Spurs can beat any team in the league that is playing at ITS best...

Will they do that?

That is what worries me.

The Jazz. They seem to play the Spurs pretty damn tough the past couple of years. The Spurs killed GS the last two games they played.

I don't see what's wrong with looking ahead. If we lose focus as fans, I certainly hope it wouldn't impact our players on the court.

That's part of the fun of the game, after all. Speculation and analysis.

I think it honestly depends on how the Warriors/Jazz series goes. If the Warriors win quickly, I think they will be tougher. If they win in 7, it might be a sign that their momentum (i.e., shooting percentage) as a team is going down.

I think a long, grueling series means Utah will be tougher. If Utah wins quickly, I don't see it making as much of a difference. I think it will go 7 though, and if GS hits their shots, there will be an 8 seed in the WCF. Otherwise, it's time to bust out the saxophones, cause we're gonna play some Jazz. :music :domokun

Injury or a cold streak from beyond the arc.

Eventually the spurs are going to have a game where they are dead cold beyond the arc, look for us to end up losing by like 12-22 points. I think this would happen more likely against the Jazz, not the GS Warriors.

I say Jazz.

Boozer is a fucking beast on the boards.

The Jazz freak me out. I was pissed that the Rockets lost for this precise reason.

Of course (makes offerings to the cosmic/karmic gods) they need to focus on beating the Suns first.

Everything else is hypothetical. But hypothetically, I am worried about the Jazz and beyond that, the Pistons. Yeesh. What a tough playoff run! If they hypothetically make it to the Finals and hypothetically win, then I don't think anyone will be able to take away from that - it'll be (hypothetically) pretty damn impressive.
