I recently downloaded Game 1 vs. Phx and was watching the pre-game stuff while players were shaking hands and stuff. It felt oddly like it was a home game for some reason...I couldn't quite put my finger on it.
Then I noticed the song that the Suns use for pre-game....
"Y'all ready for this?!"
(This was probably already mentioned and chuckled at many times in the game thread but oh well...sorry)

It's because their crowd sucked. I felt the same way. The crowd didn't seem very optimistic about the game, and the history between the two teams makes that pretty understandable. Spurs have just kicked thier fucking ass over the last couple of years

The crowd was hopping in the 4th quarter, but pretty lame for the first 3 quarters. Then it quieted down just a little when Nash went out.

the Fans weren't even as loud Rocket fans in the first three Q's. That's pretty pathetic.

Since when has our home crowd been any better? Texas teams in general seem like they have a stoic fanbase on game day.

Yeah, I think it's too much respect (and not much else) for a rivalry yet. It's like the fans want to hate the other team and scream and hiss but it's like, "Dude...we don't even hate these guys...they're actually pretty cool."
We need Raja Bell (side note: I actually really liked this kid [side-side note: Who is this Kid? Do I know him? I don't know this kid...I don't want to know this kid...haha] when he was with the Spurs for some reason...like really...then again, I kinda liked a bit of what I saw in Derrick Dial too...) to give Manu a hard foul, or Barbosa to land on Bruce's foot (all with no injuries of course). That should get things started.
I just thought it was funny that Suns use the same pre-game song as the Spurs. Probably a lot of teams in the nba use that song?? Stern needs to work on that if that's the case...
