Dude, I am seriously sick right now. Hope it turns out to be nothing. There's a pretty good break until game 3 - so hopefully he'll be 100% by then.

Well, if Manu ever needed a kick in the ass to get going, this could be it.

:( I'm thinking that, since this was started by TIMVP, it's not a joke.

It's been on the news all afternoon - timvp and I weren't around to a little bit ago. I was surprised no one here had posted it.

:cry I hope he'll be OK. I don't live locally, so I hadn't heard that. I've been on ESPN all day, and I haven't seen it there either.

WTF? Are they having some sort of full-contact scrimmage at the shootaround?

OMG whewwwww. I thought it was something a little bit more serious. Finals are kicking my ass and I see this so sorry if I went a little crazy.

Crap. What's with the Spurs and back spasms lately? First Barry gets 'em and now Finley. This is some crap.

Although it does seriously suck for Fin's awsome play of late.

maybe he is just pulling a D-wade and is going to come with a courageous performance after getting badly injured in practice.

Time for them to come together as a team now. Wait, they do that all year. :oops

I don't think a back injury is anything to scoff at. Barry hasn't been the same since he hurt his back. A shooter needs his back.

I hope Fin can shake it off...

Now time for Manu to have the guts to step out and be aggressive, we need him more than ever at this point.

Actually I think it was about contact. I think he was hit and fell on his back. (Not positive though)

Back in my day I had to walk in 3 feet of snow, for 5 miles, uphill both ways, with back spasms, to get to school.

Questions about Finley
The Spurs have announced that it will be a game-time decision whether Michael Finley plays tonight. He suffered back spasms during the morning shootaround, hitting the court in pain. There are mixed signals out of the Spurs camp as to Finley's status.

The way Finley's been scoring, stepping up on D and rebounding like a demon lately, this is extremely bad news.

BigBeezie
05-08-2007, 08:59 PM
I think it is all a tactic to throw PHX off a little. Look for Manu to start, but Finley to play. I'm calling my shot on that right now. We're going to rip PHX tonight. No doubt.

I just bet 100 dollars that Finley will score under 14.5 point IF he plays. I recommend you betting people do the same.

Sometimes players who are experiencing discomfort focus on that rather than playing perfect basketball, and they absolutely go off from everywhere on the court. The best game of my life, I had severe stomach pains. It made me stop worrying about my man getting by me, I just went for the ball anytime it was near me. I wound up with 14 steals that game. :lol

Not saying it's gonna happen, just a thought.

Back.

He's not ruled out yet. Game time decision.

This'll happen. Thank God its not a bone or ligament. I'm assuming that he'll have received the best possible treatment available to mankind to calm that back muscle acting up by tip off. We'll see.

If sacrificing 100 bucks is your way of throwing a Spur jinx the other way, well props to you. May you lose that 100.

Game 2 updates
Michael Finley trotted out with the Spurs for pregame warmups, and is expected to start. He sustained back spasms early in the morning shootaround, and there was a question as to his health.
