Well, at least the Spurs managed to keep Brent's dad, the A-Train, and Micheal Ray (undoubtedly with his Jewish lawyer) on their side.

Ok...just because you are a former NBA player does not make you a legend.

I get Gilmore, Thompson, BJones, Rick Barry, and Spencer Haywood and maybe Steve Kerr.....but that's it.

I just saw that the other day and thought the same thing. I am glad he is helping out but a "legend"? What is wrong with "former NBA player"?

Easy Reason why those ( LEGENDS) Former players picked the Suns .. It's the Style of Play PHX plays.. Most of those Former players played in the 80's where games used to be 130 - 127 every night!

The NBA is slowly turning back to that style with all of the superstars they have now to market.

Was this before game 1? I'm shocked so many picked the suns. Seems more like wishful thinking from old-timers who long for the fast break. Most Suns fans (like myself) aren't nearly so optimistic. Oh well all the ESPN "experts" picked the Spurs so you shouldn't feel too sleighted.

Alot will depend on what happens tonight. If the Suns can even it up and overcome their phobia of the Spurs it's anyone's series.

Good luck and hope Finley is ok.

He hasn't always - he didn't pick them in 2005 and he predicted the Spurs would take the Suns in 06 if they got past Dallas.

little respect for the Spurs in the NBA:

1999-asterisk*
2003-David's bad back, the Lakers were the favorites(for 4 peat).
2005-Duncan can't win a title without Robinson

what else is new? :p:

I am surprised nobody saw How I put ( LEGENDS ) in Parenthesis.... I wouldn't count half that list as LEGENDS! But after reading USA Today and Commish Stern defend the fact the NBA doesn't re - seed .. I still think this series is a toss - up.

Mr. Peabody

I only referred to them as Legends because that's how NBA.com characterized them, hence the quotes.
