It happens. We shot the ball really really bad. The Spurs always have a game or 2 like this on the road in the playoffs and we usually get spanked. The Suns shot the ball very well, so the result is no surprise.
I think the disappointment from all the bricks and balls rattling out creeped in on the defensive side. SA pretty much mailed it in the last half quarter or so.
You can't win every road playoff game. There's no need to panic. I expect better shooting and more trips to the line these next 2 games.

RRRRRRRRRRRright. When that happens to the Suns you all gloat about how good the other teams D was.
Funny, how the Suns won a game in Spurs style and the Spurs won a game in Suns style.
Based on that thinking - which i believe is the general consensus of this board which style should win out?
This series is going 6 or 7.

Defense wins championships. Don't be mad about the Game 1 loss and the loss of homecourt advantage. You can't expect Phoenix to win all games vs. the best in the NBA.

Believe in your Spurs, OK people? This year the Spurs will win it all. I didn't say the same thing last year.

No, it wasn't just a bad shooting night
Most Spurs played poorly ;
Manu could have taken it to the hole more if he wanted to, but he decided to settle for 3 point attempts
Finley was so-so
Oberto and Elson were soft

It's not always the defense. Sometimes one team shoots well and one team shoots poorly; that's how a good team blows out another good team. If the Spurs blow the Suns out of a game in this series it will be because the Suns shoot poorly and the Spurs shoot >50%, which was the case tonight in the Suns favor. I'm not saying that the Suns didn't play well. They would have won even if the Spurs shot better, it just would have been closer and panic wouldn't be setting in on some people.

There were also a lot of stupid Turnovers by most of the team, from lazy passes or laziness on hustle plays.

Manu only shot 2 3's. Oberto and Elson are usually soft, but we managed to go 4 for 4 in road playoff games before tonight. But most of the Spurs did play poorly, yes. I think shooting below 40% for much of the game takes a toll on a team's energy level, though. It's just human nature.
Here's the box score. Yall can look at the shooting numbers and judge for yourself. I think I heard Kerr say that the Suns shot like 63% over the last 3 quarters. Compare that to what we shot in the last 3 quarters, probably less than 40%, and there's your game. This happens from time to time on the road against great offensive teams. You just have to say that it wasn't your night and move on.

The turnovers have become a cause for concern without a doubt.
