I'm half expecting Pops to adjust to D'Antoni's adjustment by pulling a D'Antoni. By that, I mean if KT is on the floor with Amare, I wonder if, say, Brent plays the 4 to make Amare cover someone on the perimeter. Barry might even get to the rim on that one, because Amare doesn't move so well side to side.

But if not Barry, whom might Pops replace Elson with for an offense-for-defense exchange? I don't think it would cost the Spurs any defense, since Duncan would end up guarding Amare and all the new 4 would have to do is stick a hand in KT's face on the 18-foot jumpshot.

I guess my thinking is Elson isn't giving the Spurs an advantage when Kurt Thomas is playing with Amare, and he's a liability on offense. Didn't Finley play some 4 against Denver with a degree of success? With Duncan in the middle, you still have a rebounding advantage, so ...

Just a Suns fan trying to stay on step ahead of the game plan ...

That'd be too funny to see KT, Diaw, and even Amare repeatedly post up while Barry, Fins are trying to fastbreak the Suns. :)
