It's hard to get to the line when you can't even get to the paint.

nobody can say the suns didn't play good defense against parker and ginobili in game 2

i think most of the teams know that he will penetrate , they try to limit his penetrations
but also manu don't play as well as usual in this PO maybe soon.......

It was just an off-night for Parker. I think he'll do better the next game.

Manu just has been so consistent with this poor performance that I dont know whether he'll be aggressive in Game 3 or not.

manu is suffering from head in ass syndrome. as soon as he pulls it out, he'll be fine. he needs to attack the basket, get a few layups of foul shots to go down so then he'll be in a good rhythym for his jumper. right now, his jumper isn't on and his game is shit because of it.

I have a feeling he will GO OFF in Saytown......he is due a good 25-30pt game. If Manu plays well, the Spurs usually win.

that;s what we said in series one and now here ...he will not have 20pt in the playoffs if he plays like this

this is a sorry excuse. Manu missed wide open jumpers. He did not even TRY to attack the basket. he just dribbles it like an idiot and passes up. time to stop this shit.

Yeah, Manu just doesn't have it right now. I'm not sure what his problem is at this point.

He's just had a couple of subpar games...give the guy a break. The problem is not with him but with how much some of you over-rate him. He's a good player but many of you think he's a great player.

Manu was always his best at driving. His most impressive moves are near the hoop. He's very hesitant now and looks like he's content to shoot a jumper or pass. Him and Parker both going into the lane created problems for the opposing team's defense. Two slashers in Parker and Manu plus a Duncan to clean up worked before. I think the big 3 need to be on the floor together much more in this series.

Ginobili carried the Spurs to a title in 2005. I don't think any of us overrate him. He is easily the second best player on the Spurs, and their second-best big-game player. I don't know what the hell is going on right now, because this is not the Manu we've seen here since 2003-04. All the talk about him needing to start is garbage too, since he's coming off the best season of his career as a bench player.

Yeah, but wasn't that the exception more than the rule in regards to his career with the Spurs? He had a great playoff run that year but he's been no where near that level before nor since. I'm not dissing Manu as I'd take him on my team any day. I just think he had an awesome playoff run in 2005 and now everyone assumes he should play like that all of the time.

Also, I think Parker is the 2nd best player on the Spurs but that's a different argument.

No, people aren't expecting him to play like 2005 Playoff Manu, they are expecting him to play like 2007 Regular Season Manu - a guy who average 17/4/4, shooting 46% (and 40% from 3). Instead, he's some guy we've never seen before :lol - he's shooting 32% in the playoffs and 25% from 3. It's disheartening.

It's true Manu has gotten way too jump shot and 3pt happy these days. He needs to go back to being that slasher to the hoop he was 2 years ago in games 3 and 4. We have to have both him and Tony playing well in those games to win them. We can not expect Tim to go for 30 every game in this series.

Manu is a very good player who on any given night can be the best player on the floor. We have not seen that in some time from him in the playoffs, so it is worrisome to Spurs fans.

Manu's typically the kind of player who can win a game for you even if his shot isn't falling. He's usually a guy who attacks the basket and gets to the line, or causes defenses to collapse on him and leave shooters. He's not doing that anymore, and he's turning himself into Michael Finley with all the jumpshots. That's no disrespect to Fin. That's Fin's game, and him trying to play any other role is bad for the team. It ain't Manu's game, and the team suffers when he plays like it is.

I don't know what's up with him but he is not the same Manu (I still love him though) :depressed :depressed . I'm thinking part of the problem is the Spurs wanted him to become more of a jumpshooter this season so that he wouldn't get hurt and this is just not his game. If I was Pop I would tell Manu to forget about that and do your game and be aggressive to the basket. I was looking at his stats and this is the worst playoffs he's having so far since being a Spur. He isn't even close to what he was last year (even when he was injured all season). I hope he can get out of whatever funk he's in.

Manu just needs to drive to the basket. Plain and simple. He's showed flashes a few times in the last game. He still has it, he just needs to use it.

Maybe that big bald spot on his head is causing him to play poorly?
