I'm not saying this out of emotion or anything but I think that San Antonio should build a Tim Duncan statue outside the AT&T center, kinda like the Magic Johnson one outside Staples Center.

Of course we gotta wait till he retires lol...which i hope will be like in, at the soonest, 5 more years.

It doesn't matter what he does from this moment forward. He's the best, I don't know if the Spurs will ever have anyone like that again.

Thoughts?

I'd rather have Duncan and Robinson statues together.

They would have to build a three headed statue, with Gervin, Robinson, and Duncan on it. :spin

that would be a badass twin towers statue...

but you have to have a gnome or 2 around the base.

Drob was awesome for us as was Gervin (though I haven't seen it with my own eyes) but I think Duncan definetely takes the cake...three championships speak volumes of what the Spurs became since TIMMAY arrived.

...and Timmy won one without Drob...and hopefully a couple more or at least ONE more :-)

Duncan and Robinson together is the face of this franchise. The Spurs will forever be known as the team with the twin towers.

Game over.

The day I met David Robinson at the Staple Center after a Laker game, just before my boy snapped the picture, I go to him, you know the gnomes were out right? He had a good laugh. Class act guy.

I would love to see both of them memorialized.

tim Duncan – The Ultimate Difference Maker

Tim Duncan is probably the key big guy still in the playoffs. His numbers don’t reflect his value to those guys. Amare Stoudemire is having a great season and he is a hard worker, but where Stoudemire can be the difference in a close game, Tim Duncan can be the difference in a whole game. The way Duncan plays determines how the game is played in terms of tempo and what types of shots the others guys get. The defense has to double team him and he is an excellent player passing from the low post. That is one of his underappreciated skills. He looks cool, but there is nobody that works any harder than he does or gets beat up as much as he does.

Is there any metal strong enough to effeciently portray DRob's biceps?

On the other hand, knowing our city, the statues would get vandalized within a week.

Some idiot would:

a) tag it with paint or sharpies
b) try to steal it with a tow truck
c) saw D-Robs arm off

I vote for A...

If they are going to do a statue, it needs to be of Ice sitting on those blocks of ice from that old Nike poster. That would seriously be the greatest statue of all-time.
