When I was watching the game the other night I heard one of the commentators mention that Sean Elliot refers to Bruce Bowen as "The Roach" due to him always waiting out in the corner waiting for his three. :lol I dont have the luxury of watching Spurs games with Sean as the commentator but if anyone can fill me in I would appreciate it. I was laughing for about five minutes thinking about that nickname

It was Steve Kerr, and yes, Sean called Bruce the Roach...

and some other things as well! (does anyone have a list of all the funny stuff Sean has called his fellow Spurs?)

I like when Sean Elliot said that Manu could sell sand at the beach, (after Manu flopped on a call) :lol.

And when (I'm don't remember if it was Duncan or Horry who blocked someone) he said "No soup for you".

:lol

Sean is the best.
Although I thought Sean was called ninja-"roach"? I guess he passed his name along to Bruce.

Sean also calls Bruce "The Rash" because he's all over you.

My all time funniest thing I heard Sean say about Bruce:
I can't remember who he was guarding, but Sean says "Man, he's going to go home and wash his hair (talking about the person Bruce was guarding), and Bruce is gonna be in there."

I don't like it when they call Bruce "the roach."
Since Bruce is always in the corner, couldn't they just say he is one bad kid?

Roaches are creepy and I can't stand them. Avery Johnson reminds me of one.

I thought it was Sean Elliot who was called "the Roach", and Bruce Bowen who was called "The Rash"

Either way, some pretty flattering nicknames there :rolleyes

I knew I shouldn't have opened that link.

Even worse, with your avitar, it almost felt like Beno was the one being mean to me.

You are correct sir.

It wasn't a nickname but when Sean once called out Malik Rose for wearing leather pants was priceless.

Sean said... "With Malik's big butt...how many cows did they have to get to have enough leather" :lol
