View Full Version : American Idol is FIXED thread - NEW NEWS

I know there is an AI thread, but if this is true.... I figured it deserved it's own thread. Apparently a source has come out that told a reporter Lakiesha would be eliminated ON TUESDAY before the voting, and that travel arrangements had been made as early as Monday for a Press tour for Lakiesha. Apparently, legally, there is a disclaimor on the show that states that producers have a right to make all final decisions. It is also coming out that Sanjaya was not the low vote getter the week he was eliminated, but producers wanted him out BEFORE the IDOL GIVES BACK show so that he would not steal any of the focus. Look for big news to break soon.

Has Howard 100 News finally uncovered proof that American Idol is fixed? An insider at the hit FOX show tells reporter Steve Langford that Lakisha Jones will go home tonight. Howard 100 News received this information on Tuesday evening, before America even voted on the four finalists. Our information from the source inside Idol cites travel arrangements already made for Lakisha Jones, and none of the other contestants. Plus, a remote crew was dispatched yesterday to Lakisha’s home town of Flint, Michigan, but crew’s were not sent to the hometown’s of the other 3 contestants. Stay tuned tonight to fins out if the inside source at American Idol is accurate.

Assuming the rumor is true? What then? Will the world stop watching the show in protest? Should they?

I heard about it today. It is also a big coincidense that Sanjaya was "voted off" a week before their charity show.

Well, if you had spent less time harrassing Beno and more time voting, maybe Sanjaya ( shudder) would still be with the show.

Apparently someone who works for the company (not FOX) that produces American Idol spilled the beans to the Howard 100 reporter.

Well... Given that the appeal of the show is that America gets to pick the winner, I think it would be a HUGE ratings blow.

It's not Stern himself. He has a whole news department. There are legit journalists that work for him.

:lol

Yeah Im sure Howard Stern has "legit" journalists.

Thats like Dan Rather being a legit "unbiased" reporter.

This is stupid, of course Lakisha was voted off the show, she was the least talented of the remaining finalist. Next week, it's likely Blakes turn. Call Stern on me.

That douchebag Taylor Hicks winning it pretty much sealed the fact that it was rigged for me.

The fact that this show started in 2002 and is called American Idol sealed it for me from the beginning.

The President wins his election via fruad so by proxy this show is too a fruad.

It's very hard to see if anything Howard 100 News does is a rib or not. It will be interesting to see if any other news agencies pick up on this.

I don't vote for the contestants so would likely watch it the same as I do now- when I am home and if there is nothing I want to see more on.

please Johnny, tell me how Rather was misunderstood...

Actually, my comment was that Rather did some very good journalism back in the day and had made his bones working the Kennedy assassination.

But rather than give myself minutes of frustration, I said fuck it.

I'm certain the presidential election was in 2000 and 2004.

Just curious.

Are you referring only to reality television?

Fixed? Maybe. I can never make it past the first few episodes.

That little girl crying for that dude pretty much confirmed that I'll never get that far in being committed to watching it.

My point, any national vote post 2000 is shady at best. Of course I am being facetiousness.
