View Full Version : WTF is it about the Pistons?

When we played them in 2005 in their own place, they destroyed us the first two games. We ended up winning the series.

They made the Bulls look like an NBDL team in games 1 & 2. Now they're getting stomped. Please explain this to me. I know homecourt advantage is big, but there is no way to explain a 35+ swing from the second half of game 2 to now.

they suck at games 3's...also I think the Pistons are overconfident right now, they need to act like they are down 0-2.

The Bulls are playing harder, are more aggressive, and the Piston offense is absolutely horrible...can't get shit to fall.

Is that it? They just get cocky.

It's crazy. I've never seen a team go from completely dominant to suck city so fast.

Well, except for the Mavs. :lol But at least they were consistently teh suck against Golden State.

The Pistons have cut the lead to 11...if they cut it to single digits, the Bulls are in trouble...

Pistons are reactive on the road. The let the home team throw the first punches and then react to them. But, they generally are patient and composed. They just missed a lot of shots in that second quarter and didn't protect the ball very well. But, they showed composure. And, they played smart and well in the second half.

Sooner or later Pistons will face adversity. They arent unbeatable nor unstoppable. They also have a head coach who has not proven much in the postseason.

Chicago is terrible at this stage. People need to seriously reconsider this "loaded with young talent" thing. Too many guys have plateaued in effectiveness, they have no stars, and badly need post play. They should have traded for Gasol.

be an intersting offseason for bulls
I thought bulls could give pistons trouble do to their sweep of heat
A. Nocioni did not go off like last postseason

Detroit looks good and steady. They will definitely come out of the East. The West is still open.

The Pistons are going to have have a major wake up call in the Finals after all this cakewalking in the leastern Conference.

Shit. Detroit's going to sweep to the Finals, and have a great shot at taking out whoever comes out of the West.

This series is over! Bulls wasted a huge lead in this game (18 pts) and they will never recover from it. I don't see them winning 4 in a row!

Pistons will have a long rest before the NBA Finals!

I'm sure you do since you have us posted in your signature Nostradamus. Certainly hope your predictions hold true especially with Lebron and New Jersey.

i was thinking the same, Chicago needs Gasol in this series with webber on the floor that's a huge liability for the pistons yet the bulls have no one inside to take advantage. I can't believe the bulls wouldn't give up ben gordon for big like gasol :depressed

Wasn't it Gordon AND Deng for Gasol? And if it was, I wouldn't do it either.

This is starting to have a magic type of playoff feel to it.

With my 20 20 hind sight, i would have to say that Gordon and TT for Gasol would most likely have been good for the bulls, but also fair to the Grizz, as having some good young talent with legit upside for the future... certainly had the bulls also thrown in a draft pick or 2.

Pistons were amazing tonight. Bulls are no slouches either.

I have this nagging feeling that Lebron isn't gonna make it easy.

I know. I know. The Pistons are vastly superior in nearly every aspect of the game.

Just... a gut feeling telling me not to count the Cavs out in 5. Yet.

Of course. Just look what happened to the Pistons last time they were in the East semis. They barely escaped. Can't get ahead of ourselves.
