is that the problem? no motivation? please, he should have enough motivation everytime a salary check hits the bank, spoiled players (yes, that goes for dirk too, i'm an equal opportunity critic)

Uh, if Manu needed Amare to call him dirty to get motivated, there is bigger problem that needs addressing.

True.

But if that gets him going, why not ? Remember George Karl in 2005....

Bingo.
Gosh, if a golden chance to win another title isn't enough motivation, then it's lights out baby.

:lol I guess you missed it when Kurt Thomas stuck his hand down Tim's shorts during a box out after a missed free throw. Players grab and hold each other all the time.

It was a let go situation or would you rather call a foul on Amare prior to that "holding" incident.

It is that little something extra though that drives athletes. Spurs may be thinking as a team not only do these guys think they are ready to beat us but now they are calling us dirty, FUCK THEM!!. This IMO is good for the Spurs, will make them want it even more.

This kinda shit-talking is motivation for the fans, not the players, but it could have a effect on the refs, one way or another.

You'd be pissed too if another guy kicked you in the nuts, intentional or not intentional.

Amare using the Ray Allen tactic obviously. Refs should be aware of that by now.

I'd be pissed that my nuts hurt but wouldn't blame the person if it was on accident.

my IQ is high enough to realize that the unintentional kick should have been forgotten already. Don't know about Amare's, he must have the memory and IQ of an elephant.

Agreed!

And Manu is so competitive that such comments by Stoudemire probably couldn't get him much more fired up than he already will be come Saturday.

That was as unintentional as Kobe's elbows. Both are designed to draw contact and to get the other player out of the way. It's not like his leg just magically jumped into the air. And let's not forget Groinobli taking out Barbosa in 2005.

Agreed. After the split I figured Spurs in 6. But thanks to the idiot Amare, I'm back to Spurs in 5 now. He should have shut his mouth up and just played. I bet Nash is fuming!! :madrun

AS(s) hasn't learned anything in (5?) years in the league. He just gave a vet team the motivation :ihit to roll all over his :oink AS(s) the next 3 games. :dizzy
