Without being specific, Stephen Jackson said fans directed a racial slur at him during Game 2.

"If you can't read between the lines, you don't need to be asking these questions," he said. "If I say too much, it's going to be a problem."

A reporter asked, "Is it a six-letter word?"

Jackson said: "Yeah. Exactly."

"I just thought people would carry themselves in a better way," Golden State guard Stephen Jackson said before Thursday's practice. when you face a time like that, you just think of people like Jackie Robinson who faced this everyday and handled it perfectly. occassionaly these assholes will rear their heads but their isnt much you can do. just ignore and they will get tired

terrible and certainly worse than anything i've heard from warriors fans who are classless as hell, everything is "utah sucks" "refs suck" "bullshit" (the latter is a fave in oakland), they cheer the team randomly with the clapping and cheering but they completely diss the visiting team with all their classless chants

You don't think that they would take the lead from their brash, stupid owner and be as classless as possible? Jerry Sloan would be crucified for his language in any temple across the US, but as long as he's on the sidelines in Energy Solutions Arena, the fans will love him.

Pay me 4+ million a year, and people can call me whatever name they like if it means I get to don a jersey with a team and play basketball for a living. I know that it's not fun to be taunted or demeaned, but a hell of a lot of people in this country have jobs where they DON'T get that kind of money and are still sexually or verbally harassed. Just a thought.

Mormons have a sketchy history with blacks, seeing as they weren't allowed into even the lowest level Mormon "priesthood" -- which basically includes every male member -- until the 70s.

But you get all kinds of wacky stuff when you base a religion on "ancient" gold tablets you dug up in upstate New York.
