Too pretty for prison?
Paris argues the "beauty and excitement" she provides should earn her a pardon. :rolleyes :rolleyes

For someone who epitomizes "dumb blonde" that's a pretty good argument. Of course, for the rest of us with IQs above room temperature, it makes no sense at all.

the harebrained heiress changed her strategy...and asked her fans to sign a petition urging California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to pardon her because she provides "beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives" and is "notable for her leading roles on the Fox reality series The Simple Life and in the remake of the Vincent Price horror classic House Of Wax." Wow, what an airtight defense--

Well, despite the fact that that is the weakest defence I've ever heard...

1. SHE'S NOT BEAUTIFUL. In fact, I find her repulsive.
2. SHE'S NOT EXCITING. She's labourious and predictable.

And then there's the fact that she's a symbol of everything that is wrong with the world.

I agree with E20, send her somewhere like that. Give her a taste of real life.

Paris Hilton has fans? I mean, I'd accept head from her, but like RnR said, she's certainly not beautiful nor exciting.

Arpaio offers to house Hilton in Tent City

Paris Hilton could serve her 45-day jail sentence working on an Arizona chain gang.

Self-proclaimed toughest sheriff in America, Joe Arpaio, head of Arizona's Tent City jail and the Maricopa County Sheriffs Department, has offered to house the hotel heiress during her 45-day jail sentence for driving with a suspended licence. The sentence is due to being June 5.

Los Angeles' prisons are notoriously overcrowded. Arpaio requires his inmates wear striped uniforms and pink underwear as they toil in the hot sun and says his offer is being "seriously considered."

Hilton sought comfort from her looming jail sentence in the arms of her ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos.

The socialite and the Greek shipping heir - who have dated on and off for several years - met up at Los Angeles nightclub Teddy's on Saturday night.

A source told Us Weekly magazine, "Paris arrived around midnight with a group of girlfriends and seemed quite happy, chatting and laughing.

"Stavros arrived about an hour later and made a beeline for Paris' table when she gave him a big hug and a kiss.

"They most of the night together, laughing and cuddling and Paris leaned over and kissed him over and over again. She massaged his neck and ran her fingers through his hair.

"He had his arm around her and was whispering into her ear, not really paying any attention to all the other girls who were ogling him."

Stavros - who was seen dirty dancing with James Blunt's ex Petra Nemcova in another Hollywood club just days ago - and Paris left together at 2am.

I'd love a 24-hr a day reality show of her jail time.
that would be some fucking classic TV right there.

and by the way - anyone know any REAL person who could drive on a suspended DUI liscence, get pulled over 3 times and NOT go directly to jail on the spot??

Dude, that would be so sweet if she went to jail at tent city. There's a reality show I'd watch.

"What, I have to buy my own food and get $0.25 a day?"

Stay tuned... coming Fall 2007 on TNT, we know drama.

She's already had he sentence cut in half for "good behavior" and will spend her jail time separated from the "regular" people.
I'm sure she'll "blow" her way to an even shorter stay.

Where do you think you would go for this offense?!

MAX security?

Jesus, get over it people. I personally know people who have had 4-5 DUI's and only served 30 days. The sentence for this tramp isnt any more or less different than what normal Joes get.

This thread and what people think should happen are ridiculous. Its celebrity worship's ugly underbelly. She should get a harsher penalty under the law because shes a dumb bitch?

Or is it because shes a flighty, rich tramp who annoys you? Because that dont hold a shit-can full of spit in the court of law.

She's going to a prison made specifically for celebrities and high-profile inmates. in fact, they DON'T EVEN CALL IT A PRISON. it's called a "special needs housing unit". that's where the Average Joe goes? and who the fuck said MAX security? she's not even serving the Average Joe 30 days. Get your facts straight before you go spouting shit like a fuckin' dumbass. Once again a celebrity is paying their way out of jail, I highly doubt she'll do her full sentence, and she's probably going to be living in conditions better than 75% of the law abiding citizens of this land.

and Good God Almighty, it's Paris Fucking Hilton. I'm sorry your little vagina is hurting over her suffering in this personal trauma.

Green with envy, I see.

Celebrity buys many things. Just because this particular celebrity annoys you/makes you sick doesnt mean she, as a celebrity, wont be treated differently according the celebrity standard set by the courts well before her *ahem* "rise" to stardom.

Lets not start a list...ok, lets....

Robert Downey, Jr.
OJ Simpson
Scott Wylan
Vince Neil
Every professional athlete....ever.

Every offense by the previous people were a more sever crime than this. Get. Over. It.

Better yet, start your own e-petition. Cry with the other girls about how everything is so slanted and that celebrities shouldnt be treated differently, and how the world is just un-fucking-fair.

Or, you could just....oh...I dont know....grow the fuck up and realize they are famous and you are not. They are wealthy beyond your wildest dreams, you are not. Because of the former reasons, they are treated differently by not only the average Joe, but by law enforcement, the courts, foreign countries and airlines.

Life isnt fair. Did you seriously think Paris Hilton would spend this "jail" time in anything but some minimum security hotel? Why is this some sort of surprise for you?

Im being sensitive about this? I could care less about Paris Hilton, what shes done, wheres shes going, or what punishment she gets. I got in this thread lsitening to the whiney bitches like yourself complain about how life just isnt fair, that there seems to be a double-standard, etc...bla bla bla....

Thats because there is a double standard. Because life is not fair. Because <insert token third rate celebrity here> will always benefit more than you or I in any given situation of comparable offense. Move the fuck on.

LOL i made one throwaway comment about this bullshit and you go on a rant cuz you have no clue what the fuck you're talking about, then i point that out and now you post this?

Seriously dude, yank the tampon out. What's more pathetic, bitching about another celebrity getting off the hook, or bitching about someone bitching about another celebrity getting off the hook? The fact that you spent as much time as you did to write your little rant shows what a pathetic fag you really are.

Hilton Drops Probation - Violation Appeal

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Filed at 5:33 p.m. ET

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Paris Hilton won't appeal the 45-day jail term she was sentenced to earlier this month for violating probation, according to court documents filed Thursday. A lawyer for the 26-year-old socialite notified Los Angeles Count Superior Court that she is abandoning her appeal, said court spokeswoman Katherine Roberts.

Hilton was ordered earlier this month to report to jail by June 5 for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

Hilton initially called the sentence unfair, and lawyers representing her filed a notice to appeal the sentence.

She then switched attorneys and is now represented by drunken driving specialist Richard Hutton. Hutton did not immediately return several calls for comment Thursday.

Hilton will be jailed for about 23 days of a 45-day sentence and will be separated from the general inmate population, authorities decided after reviewing her case.

The shorter sentence reflects an expectation that Hilton behaves behind bars.

''All inmates get credit for good behavior,'' Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said Thursday. ''The inmate knows that if they behave and follow the rules, that's something to shoot for.''

She will be held in a ''special needs housing unit'' at the Century Regional Detention Center in suburban Lynwood, Whitmore said.

Hilton will stay in a unit that contains 12 two-person cells reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates, he said.

She could have a cellmate.

Like everyone else in the 2,200-inmate facility, Hilton will get at least an hour outside her cell each day to shower, watch television, participate in outdoor recreation or talk on the telephone, he said.
