Basketball is, to an extent, a contact sport, so some personal fouls are expected. A player consents to the degree of contact expected and allowed under the rules. However, fighting or elbows above the shoulder are strictly forbidden in the NBA because they are excessive, unnecessary, and unsportsmanlike. Moreover, that sort of business is highly illegal under Texas law. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to the law against assault just because one is a professional basketball player. There had better be an information or indictment filed against Robert Horry if the D.A. is to have any credibility. The law is the law.

Well, I have to run. I'm going to turn myself in for jaywalking last week, and driving 5 miles over the speed limit on the way home from work.

what the hell???? people are acting like horry did a karl malone. for the young ones, i remember 2 vicious karl malone flagrants, when he knocked out drob with an elbow to the temple and when he split isaih's head open with a vicious elbow.

horry body checks someone and now he should be indicted? this league is beyond soft now...da fuck???

Steve Nash should be arrested and prosecuted by Suns Fans for not spending more time building his muscle-less body at the gym causing him to be such a delicate little pansy that can be knocked over with a feather.

Nash flopped...it was obvious really.

It wasn't as bad as it looked. Nice flop by Nash. I like how he waited until Horry was tied-up before he tried to go after him. He's a puss.

Nash is not a puss, but he is smart, who would go after someone 100 lbs more than oneself, really?

totally agree. he took a good shot but added dramatic effects at the end. all that drama led to amare and diaw running onto the court...and thus, their suspension. so, nash, was the flop worth it?

I thought Horry's emotions got the best of him. I think he went overboard and there was no excuse for what he did. I understand the game is physical and all that, but he crossed the line.

I doubt Horry even touched nash on that play. Nash just wanted to get a Spurs player ejected, and it backfired! :rolleyes

Oh, Gee!!

I think Horry should be prosecuted as well, but not for Game Four. I'm sure he probably has 12 kids that he doesn't pay Child Support on.

I think the original poster is goofing on the poster known as Kevin Blackistone, who seems to be as equally offended by Amare and Diaw leaving the bench as he is over Horry's foul on Nash. You know, because rules are rules.

I agree that Horry crossed the line. But prosecuted? Come the fuck on! Nash didn't look hurt to me. It was half Horry contact and half Nash flopping.

Wow. He body checked him, he didn't murder him. Poor little Steve. If Horry gets suspended for this it will be atrocious.
