From the journal of Tim Duncan
"It was a wonderful sunset in Phoenix, Jazz music could be heard in the distance, but we must sadle up and return home now, another battle awaits".

Yeah, that was a brutal hit. It was fairly entertaining that Nash picked himself off Ginobili claiming that Ginobili had flopped.

It made total sense because back then (2003?? i think) I would watch him and think "how the fuck did he just do that?.. must be Jedi powers".
then it caught on and htere were ObiwanGinobili t-shirts, and signs at the game ... I was just glad to have snagged the screen name before some bandwagonner did.

Nash deliberately kicked Duncan in the toe on that last drive to the basket where he got the free throws. Make that a two game suspension. Kicks to the toe can cause serious injuries. In fact make it three games, two for the kick and one for the flop.

Our MVP is not Stern, but rather it is the Neanderthal, Amare, who is too stupid to not get off the bench like 6 of his teammates. He is the stupid fuck, and Stern had no choice....get over it.

You're absolutely right!! Stern had no choice. Once Stu Jackson set forth the priorities, "It's not a matter of fairness. It's a matter of correctness." Stern's action would be the only one that was consistent--He should not only get the game ball, he should get at least a player's share of any winnings distributed.

OK, people, it's a no-tolerance rule.

And it's not even a new rule. There are no excuses, none.

If you don't want to blame Amare, you could always blame Bell. If he and Horry don't tangle, there is no altercation, and no suspensions.

(No, I don't think Bowen would have been suspended if there was no altercation).

The Spurs have NO FLASHY PLAYERS

They play BORING basketball

The 03 and 05 finals were the lowest rated in NBA History

why on EARTH would stern want to help the spurs?

it makes no freakin sense! doesnt stern have more to gain if the SUNS make it to the finals? they have flashy players, dunks, alley oops, and they are entertaining.

I've vented here over the last few days, but speaking only for myself, I'm officially moving on from this. We got screwed, but there's nothing more to be done about it now except, win or lose, use it to make us stronger.

Way to not answer the question. Horry got suspended two games for the hit on Nash, and Nash wasn't even hurt.

Why do you think that the Suns should be allowed to cheat (the NBA ignoring a mandatory suspension rule) in order for them to win?

You didn't get screwed. Nash sold a hip check so convincingly that the Spurs are without a huge part of their team for two games. If Amare and Diaw weren't too stupid to follow the rules everyone would be talking about how unfair it is that the Spurs are without Horry.

The 03 final ratings were shit mainly because of the NETS, nobody on earth gives a shit about them not even in NJ. The 05 finals ratings were much better and game 7 actually got a huge rating.

You can imagine what that does to David Stern's blood pressure, after all he had to deal with after the Lakers-Kings debacle five years ago.

And now many in the media are complaining that he isn't showing blatant favoritism to the ratings-friendly team.

Doug Gottlieb on ESPN Radio today actually prayed to God that the Suns win Game 6 ON THE FREAKING AIR.

I'm guessing ABC/ESPN at this point will not be invited to bid on renewing its contract with the NBA.
