I got about 3hrs total sleep last night. Luckily everyone in my office is gone today, so i can slack, and hopefully duck out early.

Yeah, it's BS. I love the Spurs but I hate the world in the morning if I don't get enough sleep. I get agitated if I don't get at least 7 hours.

Yes. This bullshit must end. Stop televising Cavs-Nets. No one cares except Sprite and Nike.

What is up with this crap anyway. Screw the damned Leastern Conference. I am sick of having to follow their stupid games and if that is isn't enough, TNT screws around with their Barkley bullshit talk and the so-called 9:30 tip-off doesn't happen until almost 10:00 pm.

the whole Mavs - Warriors series was too late as well.

Still, last night was worth staying up for!

The NBA is just patently admitting that it thinks no one in the West will watch if they have a start time before 7:30. Ridiculous.

If the first quarter wouldn't have been a blur last night, the game would have lasted well into the morning hours here in the Central Time Zone.

05-17-2007, 09:34 AM
If ONLY they started at 9:30!!!

Games don't actually start untill 9:50 or 10 after Inside the NBA and House of Payne commercials.

What I don't understand, is do they not care if the East coast wants to watch these games? I am sure there are West coast fans living in the East and vice versa. It is like the NBA and TV doesn't give a damn. Just air both games 1 to 2 hours apart regardless if they are done. Let the viewers watch what they want when they want.

Whats worse is if we advance to the Conference Finals then we have to play in Utah (which is the same as playing in PHO) in relation to game time.

Ugh more 930-1030 games coming up :sleep

Actually, the start times should be earlier because there are no other conference games to contend with and the conference championships aren't on the same network.

Yeah the Mavs got screwed on the times too.

It's mainly TNT's fault because they are hell bent on showing double headers and 40 games in 40 days. Morons.

But why could they not start the East coast games at 7 eastern so they are over by 9:30 eastern time (8:30 Central time) and then start the the 2nd game 15 minutes after that.

It's BS staying up until Midnight or later.

I sometimes wish San Antonio is in the Eastern conference.
Sleeping at 2, and getting up at 6 is not cool.

Well, take adderrall on game days if you can't hack it until half past midnight. Or check the boxscore in the morning if you want more sleep. Who says I deliver pizza??

I'm pretty sure that Game 5 was the Spurs last 9:30 CDT start. Game 6 is an 8:30 CDT start. If there's a Game 7 in this series, it will be on Sunday afternoon. And I would think that whomever advances to the WCF will be playing games that start sometime around 8 p.m. CDT.

the start times will be different for the Conference Finals for two reasons:

1. There are only two series left
2. Each Conference Final is exclusively on their respective networks....I believe ABC has the WCF while TNT has the ECF....or I may have that backwards...

Doug Collins

Well if you remove the 6.2 billion combined promos for The Closer, House of Payne, Heartland, and Saving Grace the games would only be about 2 hours in length. But TNT seems to think they know drama and therefore want everyone else to pay attention, so consider that a pipe dream.

BTW The new season of The Closer begins Monday June 12th for those that might've missed it.
