I made an account there recently as my brother prefers that forum there, but people here seem to be against that site? Why the animosity?

I haven't been there much at all and just have an account. Anyone post regularly in both?

I post on Spursreport frequently, just lurk here. I think they take pride on having a slightly more "mature" tone...you won't see as much random swearing, awkward ranting, or trash talking. I would assume the age demographic for the boards are pretty different as well, this one being geared more towards the 13-23 group.

oh i just felt like there has been some slights and little bits of friction with them on here from time to time (e.g. the suns dirty youtube thread)

whoa....the site just changed

edit: oh...it just got moved

Yeah...I got that sort of feeling. That's part of the reason why I made an account there. Although some of the stuff here can be funny, sometimes I think I'll need a break from it. Then come back afterwards, haha.

Actually I think the average age here is well over 30.

A lot of us used to post there regularly.

I find there's considerably more basketball knowledge here, as well as more trash talk and ranting.

If you're talking about maturity, SR wouldn't be able to handle a thread like this one which is obviously is pimping the competitor. I don't hate SR, but this forum does not get uptight about those things and can take criticism, and is confident in it's service. A true sign of Maturity.

HEck you can't even discuss politics becuase of a bitch named Misstexmex or something over there.

All in all, a wonderful forums.

The bad is that Kori sucks, and LJ is a fag who poops on small children and murders stray cats.

Mature? :lol

Try starting this thread on that forum and see how mature they act.

If you want quality Spurs information and discussion by the most knowledgeable Spurs fans on the internet, you chose SpursTalk.com. If you want lies, overbearing moderation and a forum getting less and less traffic, you go elsewhere.

that place sucks, you can't post what you think. i got banned for nothing, even when Dusty invited me to join the site after i met him during the playoffs in 2001 (in LA).

spursreport can eat shit and die.

I'm happy with spurstalk so far. I initially came to keep up with the latest news and small stuff that sportswriters don't write articles for.

I joined last year because the forum got packed during mavs series and I couldn't get in without joining. Then I finally started posting a month or so back.

This is a good forum indeed. I think I'll give spursreport a shot soon though.

The biggest problem of the ST is that you need to be selective

Why is ST superior?

You can type Spursreport. Go try and type Spurs talk or Kori or Timvp there and see what happens.

You want to talk maturity? Go to Spursreport and type Spurstalk or Kori and you get ******, no I didn't just curse they actually censor the website and a woman's name. That woman being the co-owner of the best Spurs forum on the fucking planet earth.

Their MODS are tight assed cock suckers and the cock belongs to a fat man named Dusty. His little bitch boy DizzG sometimes lets him go Dirty Sanchez on him.

Most people who posted there in the early new century all left and are now here.

I won't rant against spursreport, but I think there's a qualitative difference between that forum -- which pretty much demands homerism and where most of the regular posters blow a gasket when faced with either objective truths about the Spurs' shortcomings or posts by fans of opposing teams -- and this one -- which pretty much welcomes any viewpoint and allows for far more candid conversations.

If being more open and candid is a sign of less maturity, well, then consider me infantile.

I also think there's a major difference in that here, you won't find a cadre of posters who believe that they are somehow superior to all others who've yet to "earn their stripes" as it were. This place is much more of a meritocracy, if there's any sort of heirarchy at all.

I'm grateful every day for the opportunity to post here and engage with fans who understand the game and are willing to be both cheerleaders and analysts.

I stopped going there several years ago when I asked one question....."What happened to Kori, SW, etc " and my question was locked and deleted and a SWAT team kicked down my doors and crashed through my windows. Then they threw me against the wall and asked me why I wanted to know.
