So, is there any hope that I could get a seat in the AT&T for the Finals (if we make it)???
My lord how I hate 15-hour plane flights, but I think that if we win the Utah series and have no major injuries, I have to come this year because it's the best chance I'll get to see a Championship in the Big 3 era, and I REALLY WANT TO SEE SA IN POST-CHAMPIONSHIP MADNESS MODE!!! :)
I have to finish uni for the year, but I'll get that done in the next fortnight, so other than the exorbitant cost, 15-hours of pain on the plane, and tickets to the games, there's nothing stopping me!
Very exciting prospect!!! :elephant

It will be really tough. The finals will be sold out already. You may have to buy from a scalper. I'm sure other fans here have some ideas. Thanks for supporting the Spurs! :)

My husband said if the Spurs made it to the WCF, he was buying a plasma or LCD tv.
I guess we're getting one now.

LCD is "more green", using half the electricity of a plasma panel.

yeah. He'll probably go with it.
The problem is that our current HDTV weighs a ton and is in an armoir type entertainment center. We could put that TV in our bedroom, but the I don't know how we're gonna get it upstairs and I have nowhere to put the armoir.
But does he listen to me??????? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo! :lol

We had a similar problem when we bought our big screen HD DLPTV. We solved it by giving to the lady who bought our house as a moving in gift, that way we did have to deal with the heavy HDTV. She was so excited that she gave me a $150 Lowes gift in return. So it was a win-win! :spin

Nice. As for the DLP TVs, in addition to being unwieldy, they also have more issues than either LCD or plasma. I have one friend who already had to replace his bulb after less than 2 years, and another who had a power brownout that misaligned a whole row of mirrors that left a BIG black stripe on her screen. Buy the warranty if you go with DLP.

I think LCDs have a longer lifespan as well.
Slomo, don't worry, I probably won't be able to go... :depressed
My conscience would eat at me (in carbon terms) for jumping on a plane for the second time this year, and if I can't get tickets I really can't justify the trip...
The decision will be made if we beat the Jazz, and it will be of the variety, "dammit, just can't do it" followed by a night of heavy, blot-out drinking, or "fark it, I'm hopping on a plane NOW, screw everything else!" which would be the typical human response to such a situation. We shall see.
At least it's exciting to dream about it! :D
Keep the $5k and do something fun with it.

Highly, highly unlikely. That's why I am so keen to get over there this year.
