The consensus pre-season best team in the NBA, now appears to be in the zone, with turning it up a notch with back to back to back dominating wins against decent to very good teams.

For those of us out of the Spurs video area = were they really that dominating tonight? Who was the difference maker this time?

Is anyone out there not excited - where's the posts? Seemingly, a great day to be a Spur fan etc. I for one see this as the coming of age year of the Spurs now that they have in the last few years locked up their core 3 and solidified their roster. Great things are on the horizon.

Does anyone not agree yet? :pctoss

Weird game. Tim was almost a no show, at one point the only player in main rotation who hadn't scored!

A good time was had by all Spurs. The kids Beno and Mike got lots of minutes.

Even Massenburg avoided his usual foul-a-minute!! He's improved to a foul-per-2-minutes! :) what a klutz.

bench outscored the starters, 55 - 54. Jerry can't complain Pop embarrassed him.

Boozer's 20-10 avg was limited 6 - 3.

Malik is The Real Cheese Steak this season!! Welcome back!

The Spurs defense was basically all 48 minutes, amazing.

I'm Very excited about this team for the following 4 reasons:

1. Duncan is the best player in the NBA.
2. Ginobili is playing like an all star.
3. Parker is only getting better as the season progresses.
4. The addition of Barry will prove to be the best off season move.

I'll throw out an ...It's just the first month of the season.
I won't get too bent out of shape when they lose(sky is falling)
and I won't get to exhilarated when they win(start engraving the trophy).
It's a long season and one win or loss won't make or break the season...and definitely not this early.

I like what I see...but I don't like to take too much from this type of win ..just like I don't like to take too much from a fluke bad loss.

I agree.
Im not sure if Duncan is the BEST, but he's up there. I'd say top 3.
Either way, it's all the say, 3 out of however many players in the NBA is the same as 1.

not everyone has internet access on a holliday weekend

you are no less of a fan to have a life and talk to your family members who you may not see every again

lol... So it's only cool to celebrate and enjoy the success of the team at the end of the season?? Screw all that, I'm gonna savor every victory, and get pissed at every loss. It's not like I (or anyone for that matter) call it a lock every time they pull of a win and then slit my wrists when the Spurs lose a 20 point lead to the freakin grizzlies! I've been waiting for 5 damn months for the season to start again and I'm gonna enjoy it while it lasts, especially since the Spurs have the most promising team they've had in a very long time.

Man I am pumped about this team. Granted it is early and there will be a few bumps in the road, one has to be impressed with the way the team has come together as a complete unit. The ball movement is freakin amazing, no I in this team. We can only expect better things out of our Spurs as the season progresses.

One other reason to get excited, is that except for one bad game this year, Spurs not typically losing big leads and tonight by stompin on a still tough team with a blowout win may be developing a killer instinct that has in my view been lacking from this team in some other years. Get up and blow them out. Great job.

yeah it is possible because of a second team coming of the bench who is just amazing. beno, malik who brings energy and you know what he makes... FT(two hands), barry! this is just amazing. Plus to finish with everybody aggree to say Tony is having a slow start and he is already in last year numbers... that leave room for greatness! it is good to be a fan.
