Too much offense for the Spurs. Bruce is going to destory Derron Williams defensively. Tim is going to abuse Carlos Boozer. Tony is going to dominate Fisher and Williams on the offensive end. Manu is going to dominate of the bench.

The old man has to be worth 2 wins for the jazz, but that's it.

I want to believe in Spurs in 6 but I might have to go Spurs in 7. The Jazz won't go away easy.

They out rebounded us by about 4 a game this season. That's not an ass kicking.

But its alot in the playoffs.

The Spurs have got to gangbang rebound in this series if they want to advance.

Okur, Kirilenko, Boozer, Milsap, Williams, are all fantastic rebounders for their positions.

2-0 in SA
1-1 in Uta
1 in SA

Jazz are 2-4 on the road these playoffs, the Spurs are 4-1, echoing both teams' comparative season road records. Jazz were 20-21 on the road, Spurs 27 - 14.

I have a feeling that Utah might steal one of the first two, but overall I say Spurs in six.

Any Jerry Sloan coached team makes me nervous. Brings back flashbacks of the darn Karl Malone-John Stockton years....*shudders* :cry

For some odd reason I do not think that the series over east might be more interesting than we think. I was kind of surprised to see Cleveland plow through NJ like that. Maybe Pistons in 6 or 7.

That's what I think too.

I am afraid that we are too emotionally and physically spent after the last series to be able to make a quick turn around and win both games at home.

When is game 2 anyways?

The rebounding situation is really scary however espn brought up a good point (for once) in pointing out that the Jazz are a young team with virtually no playoff experience outside of that fag Fisher, they played the first round against a mini-choking team with no hardcore deep playoff experience, and played the second round against a cinderella team that pulled off the greatest upset of all time. Now they're going to go nose to nose with the 3 time champion Spurs*.

When you look at it that way, i actually got confident. But rebounding is gonna be a huge issue.

The Jazz are a good team but a tad too young to handle the Spurs. Duncan will show Boozer what life in the playoffs is really like and Bowen will do the same to Williams.

Yes, but many of those boards were key late game boards too.

Same system as the Jazz of the late 90s, less talent.

Biggest worry is the rebounding. If we can match, or at the very least get close, to their rebounding totals we'll be fine.

Defensively, the only guy on their team who worries me is Okur, and as long as you crowd him you'll be fine.

On offense, I think the Spurs have more mismatches. Who do they have that can shut-down Parker or Manu? If they key on either of those guys, the other can go off.

And no-one on their team can defend Duncan. No one, Boozer can body him up, but ultimately doesn't have the lateral movement to defend him. Okur will get out-muscled (and the same holds true for AK47). Aside from AK47 (who is a great help shot-blocker) they don't have an intimidating inside defensive presence.

Bottom-line: Spurs create more mismatches for them, than the other way around.

It should be Spurs in 4, but I'll give Utah ONE game (Spurs 4-1).

I am just glad that we aren't facing Dallas, who i thought we would be playing at the beginning of the playoffs if we made it this far, and I am glad we don't have to play Phoenix anymore. Utah creates some mismatches with Okur, but we should steam roll these guys in all reality....It shouldn't take longer than 5 games and I say a sweep is quite reasonable.

No team will win on the road. If the Jazz had an above average shooting guard they would be favourites me thinks.

This will be a tough series. If the Dallas series taught us anything last year, is that a good rebounding team will kill us and Utah is one of the best. I think Utah has a good chance of stealing game 1 from us with them being rested and the Spurs having to regroup 36 hours later. Having said that, I think we'll take em in 6 although I would not be surprised if this goes 7.

Believe me, this series will be a battle. The Jazz will not go quietly, but it will in no way compare to the battle we just had with the Suns. I say Spurs in 5. Although they will be rested, I think our momentum will carry us through the first two games. Then there is a little lay off between game 2 and 3. Their home crowd is tough, but after seeing our Spurs handle the Suns crowd in Game 5, I have to believe our chances are good of stealing a game in Utah.
