I was making fun of the OP, fucktard. Seriously, do any of you ever bring a basketball take? Even the Mavs fans don't hold a grudge this long. Shouldn't you be on a Lakers forum somewhere complaining about the officiating?

the problem is that we have alot of these so so fans going to the game because they have corporate owned seats and could really care less. most of the die-hard fans don't even get to go to games anymore like they could at the alomodome

I have plenty of takes but you simply don't like them, which is cool. Your fans did leave with the game very much still winnable at home no less. I know it's embarrassing, but don't be upset with me for that.

I'm curious as to why you would think I'd be embarassed? Because fans leave games early? Why would you think that calling out something that's done by a bunch of strangers 300 miles away from me, which is the exact same thing all people do at every sporting event, would bother me? Because my team beat yours in the playoffs last year and you are still unhappy about it? Because your team can't even make the playoffs this year after they looked like they were improving? Because you ran the coach out the door that was apparently the only thing keeping the team together? You got a lot more shit to worry about than whether or not I'm embarassed about the fans at a basketball game, that is if you are an actual basketball fan. Since you just say antagonistic shit that you can't back up just to be a dick I doubt you actually follow basketball any further than you can to try to just be a pain in the ass. You aren't terribly good at it.

The rabid Warrior fans were only there for the first few home playoff games until they were priced out by the team's managment, who raised ticket prices to $250 in the lower bowl. Once that happened, the Warriors lost the significant crowd advantage they had.

Where I sit, I'm surrounded by older folks who don't really have the energy to jump up and down and scream the entire game. I don't get pissed off at them and it doesn't keep me from screaming and cheering the way I want to. Live and let live.

Some fans are always going to leave early. As far as being loud I don't think it translates over the TV that well in some Arenas.

The one thing I did notice at SA games on TV the Arena seems really dark once you get past the first 10-20 rows. Again that could be the way it translates on TV. If you guys did the blackout thing it would almost look as if there was nobody in the arena except players and coaches.

I still think it is cool idea.

We were in Section 115, Row 20 last night, and everyone in that area was pretty much on their feet the entire time. And if the ringing in my ears was any indication, it was pretty fucking loud last night.

People here are notorious for buying at the last minute. Beyond those who already have tickets, hardcore fans probably bought their tickets earlier today. Unfortunately, some people are also notorious for blowing off the first game of a series.

You don't need to call out all of the fans. Look no further than the fans on the floor. The balcony fans as usual will go nuts. The floor fans are the ones who act too good to show some emotion. That is except for Dr. Schwartz, the endocrinologist that always is on the highlights giving the officials some hell.

I did some complaining earlier in the series about how weak the crowd had appeared on TV for the Denver series and for game 3..... but I went to game 4 (upper level), and I gotta say, actually being in there, it seemed really loud at times, alot louder than I expected. (Still no Alamodome tho). So I think like the one dude above said, it just doesn't project through the tv well.

You're the one who started the thread calling everyone lame.

I've come to the conclusion that the Spurs could cut ticket prices in half, give out black t-shirts to every game, change the music and force people to stand on their feet and cheer the entire game... and people would still find shit to bitch about. We're in the Western Conference Finals! Cheer for the Spurs, stop worrying about what other people are doing and shut the fuck up.

Being away from San Antonio for the past 13 years and watching the games on TV disgust me with the weak ass performances from the fans.

Spurs fans should thank their lucky stars that the Spurs have been doing so well in the Duncan era. The day will come when we may not have that luxury any more. Even when I went back home to game six of the 03' Finals and watched the Spurs clinch their second title, it wasn't that loud.

I remember as a kid watching the Spurs from the Hemisfair Arena, those were fun times.

I'm exhausted from the entire series. I don't really like to use thundersticks or other noisemakers... I like keeping my hands free and I clap a lot. My hands are so damned sore right now, I don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow.

Yeah, the lower bowl has people that are just there to be seen and who don't really care about the game. I'm a little too focused on the game to give a shit what they're doing and I would think that other fans, upper and lower level, would feel the same. Sure, we'd all like for the arena to be filled with nothing but rabid fans, but it is what it is and we need to keep our eyes on the prize and stop bitching about who has money to sit where, who is louder, etc. In the end, we're all going to be sweating our asses off on the River Walk in June.
