Did Amare congratulate the Spurs after the game? I read an article in a PHX newspaper that read he went straight to the locker room?

Is this true?

Yep - walked straight off the court while the rest of his team stayed.

I didn't see him give congrats to anyone and wouldn't be surprised if he did just go straight to the locker room. He still has a lot of growing up to do. Maybe this series will have an affect on that in not too distant future.

Who would have expected him to have any class? He won't even accept responsibility for what he did. Of course, his fans don't expect him to, so who could blame him?

Bowen said he wanted to shake hands with Stoudemire after Game 6 but didn't get the chance.

"Amare took off after the game," Bowen said. "I got to shake Steve's hand and there is mutual respect there."

Bowen and Nash shook hands as soon as the game ended. I was glad to see that.

Actually, Nash and Finley had a nice long word right after the game too. I imagine Nash pretty much said "Go get a ring Michael, you deserve it." That is at least a plus for Nash. While he obviously wants to win championship himself (and really deserves to I'd say) there are probably few players in the league that he'd rather see win than Michael.

Anyone who plays ball, even on the street, knows that if a guy avoids or refuses to give props after a game, he's a pussy who can't take losing like a man.

You also know that you must of really hurt their feelings :lmao :baby

Hey, Amare hardly ever acknowledges (I've only seen him do it once, ever) an assist from Nash or any teammate and you expect him to congratulate the Spurs??? This guy is all about HIMSELF w/c is sad because he has so much talent. Needs multiple major doses of humility like the one the Spurs just administered. Is it really true his agent has abandoned him?

He walked out without paying his tab at the hard rock. They stayed opened late to accomodate him and the "classy" amare does them wrong. Apparently his agent did good the next day....(sorry if old new...i just got the scoop today from an insider)

Regardless of what we think about Amare, he lets his emotions get the best of him. He obviously wanted to beat SA as much as anybody, and was disappointed. With that in mind, I'm not surprised he left right away out of disappointment, but I don't hold it against him (we've all had those moments).

I just hope he gets wiser as time goes by. The man-child is fearless and talented. He just needs to make better decisions everytime he speaks his mind.

He'll grow up, every one does sooner or later. He's hot-headed and hasn't learned to control it. A coach could help him but not the coach he has.
But damn, the guy is an incredible athlete.

I hope somebody reminds Amare that he's supposed to stay in the boat.

If he ventures away from the "vicinity" of the boat, he'd probably say...

"Gravity is a stupid rule"

Or maybe he thought he should be able to walk on water.

Just wondering if he ever maned-up and took responsibility and apologized to his team and his fans for breaking a rule and letting them down for game 5.

You put Amare in a better situation and his tim wins a championship. What I mean by better situation is when the Spurs are not a dynasty. :lol :king

Amare not only rushed off the floor in that game, but he also skipped all the "locker clear out day" activities. All the players were interviewed by the media at their stadium and Amare was nowhere to be seen.

He would probably ask to review Jesus for being able to walk on water.

What would be fun is UV Ray in here talking about how ambiguous the law of gravity is.
