He starts hitting those 3's and this will be a longer series than any of us want.

did you watch the game tonight? We won with Williams scoring like he did. Okur hits a few of those open threes today and we may have been in trouble.

We won because Finley made some big FT's... if we missed those free throws it could be a different story, Williams was unstoppable at the end of the game, he took a page from Steve Nash's book :lol

If the Spurs D can limit Boozer, I don't give a shit what Okur does.

"We won because Finley made some big FT's."

We needed his FTs only because other Spurs missed 13 FTs out of 40.

What the hell is with the Spurs letting people back in the game at the end? Is it just that the opponent is playing with mad desperation or what?

I'd say today, its just they ran out of gas.

That second quarter, and the run in the third, took alot out of him.

The Spurs have always had problems keeping a big lead. I'd rather them play steady in the first half and gradually wear down the opponent in the 3rd and 4th quarters. That said, the Spurs played some great basketball in the 1st half today. Loved that TP pass between Okur's legs.

Yeah, I wasn't too happy with the defense on Okur. The one thing you can't give him is wide open three point looks. Duncan and Horry did a poor job of running him off those looks.

Maybe Okur will ramp it up. However, the Spurs can ramp it up with a little more rest. Weather the Game 2 storm and the 3 plus days' rest will be vaulable to the team.

True. The games we lost to them this year were largely because he ate us up with 3s as I recall.

Oh well, Pop always seems to have an answer for whatever the other team's strength is.

this is part of what's gotten utah this far. when you have a 5 who can shoot from 3 it changes the opponent's defense. for the most part i think the spurs did a good job defending okur. i'm not so worried about him hitting a 3 as i am about him winning a game with a layup in the salt palace...er, energy solutions arena because someone didn't box his turkish ass out.
