why are all the games in WCF shown by ESPN/ABC and ECF by TNT? Anyone knows? :wtf

It sort of sucks ass. TNT in the past had exclusive coverage of the WCF, but I guess since they now show the ASG, ABC/Disney wants the WCF. I wish that TNT could do a trade-off, give them ASG and they get WCF. Disney/ABC is a richer/more well known company as Turner so they'll undoubtly get more viewers so that's another reason they get the WCF.

I believe they switch every year. TNT had the WCF last year, they should have them again next year. And TNT always has the ASG.

TNT has had the ECF for the past two years.

Really? I could have sworn they switch. My bad.

Maybe "Inside the NBA" on TNT will be enough of a reason to watch the ECF.

I really liked Breen/Jackson/Van Gundy this afternoon. Could be the best team Disney ever put together.

Fixed it for you.

Breen wanted Jackson to anaylze/praise the Spurs and wanted JVG to anaylze/praise the Jazz. JVG was doing the samething as Jackson.

Hopefully, JVG goes to TNT. Mike Aldridge made the right decision.

Thanks for fixing for me. I admit I was guessing there -- I haven't watched many ESPN broadcasts recently -- when I have a choice I watch local, when it's Disney I'm usually at a bar with the sound turned down..

David Aldridge you mean E20.

But Breen, Van Gundy, and someone like Jamal Mashburn, would be better.

I just hope Walton doesn't do any of our games.

I'm with Bill Simmons on this one. I don't really care who the commentators are allegedly rooting for. I only want them to provide intelligent, funny insight to the game. I thought today's trio was fine. I liked how they picked on each other and called each other out while the game was going on.

David Stern fucked up bad when he took more money from TNT and ABC and left NBC altogether. The playoffs got more coverage and were on for the most part at better times when the league had it's deal with NBC.

And what's with all the breaks between the games? are 3 days really necessary between games 3 and 4? I know Grey's Anatomy is highly-rated and all, but couldn't they preempt their meal ticket at least one week?

And for those of you who are anxiously following the lives of Dr. Grey and McDreamy, I'll fill you in on the next episode. Some people will arrive at the hospital with strange, serious conditions that only the doctors at Seattle Grace can solve. The doctors will act unprofessionally, have affairs with patients and other doctors, and generally act insufferable. In the end, Dr. Grey will be perplexed about the whole thing. The end.

I generally like Bill Walton. At least he brings some personality to doing color. And I don't care who he's pulling for.

Although I'd rather see ABC give John O'Hurley a try. I bet he'd be a hoot.

The real reason why the WCFs are on ESPN/ABC and ECFs are on TNT, is that TNT gets to cover the conference final of the the conference who won the championship the year before. Since the East won it all last year, TNT gets this years ECFs. The Spurs won in 2005, so the 2006 WCFs between Suns and Mavs were on TNT. The 2004 Pistons won it all, so the 2005 ECFs between Pistons and Heat were on TNT. The 2003 Spurs won it all, so the 2004 WCFs were on TNT, Lakers and Wolves. The 2002 Lakers won it all, so the 2003 WCFs were on TNT, Spurs and Mavs.

Kinda like in the NFL...

FOX gets the NFC and CBS gets the AFC.

I don't think so. I believe TNT had ECF 2 years ago, and now this year. But last year, they had the WCF, because I remember them being in Phoenix for game 6 with Dallas, when Dallas won the west. They may trade every year or something, im not sure. But i know for a fact that last year, TNT had the WCF, and the year before that, they had the ECF.
