Who gets the tickets that are actually on the court opposite side of the teams. These obviously are not for sale are they?


What would these cost someone, and why is it always a bunch of little kids usually.

I don't know if they're for sale (couldn't afford them if they were), but quite of few of them are VIP (Holt, wives, kids, etc).

That's section 24, and every so often tickets from that sections will pop up on the Spurs' ticket exchange - and yes they are not exactly cheap (specially during the playoffs) although it depends on the asking price of the season ticket holder who put them on the tickets exchange. So theoretically there's a chance that a kind soul would actually sell them at face value.

Those tickets at the AAC for Mavs games are sold to season ticket holders for $1100 each per game and they are almost always renewed each year. They do come with all the food you can eat and non alcholic drinks at your seat. There is a buffet with alcohol under the stands that is included as well.

But still $1100 x 41 home games plus pre and post season..........Freaking A!

I have had the pleasure of sitting courtside across from the visitors bench right at the free throw line at Suns games. I have sat there probably 10 times in the past couple of years. My mother-in-law is a huge gambler and Casino Arizona who is a big sponsor of the Suns and the casino gives here 4 seats at $1000 a piece several times a year.

I think most of those seats are corporate sponsors seats. It is really awesome watching the game from there and being able to interact with the players. I don't know how it is at Spurs games but at Suns you get valet parking, free food, and drinks. A few times after games we have just walked on the court and been able to take pics and got autographs of players. I cherish each time I get to sit there because there is no way in hell I will ever be able to afford seats down there.

In the late 80s, after my original partner opted out of our four season tickets behind the Spurs bench (which we'd had since the first game) I shared two tickets on the sideline about seven seats down from the half-court line facing the timers, stat table and opponents bench.

Advantages were there was no one if front of you and you could talk to the players and refs when it was side out.

Disadvantages were you didn't have a bunch of folks around you that you could get to know and if the action came your way you were liable to spill your beer all over. And you never knew when you were on TV acting the fool with some young bimbo on your arm and your divorced wife telling the kids what a bum you were. :spin

On second thought, make that one an 'up-yours, Mary' advantage.

In those days, each ticket cost $50 per game--more for the playoffs--or about 2100 per year for the regular season. Then they went up and you had to buy a membership to the Spurs Corral which had always been free to anyone. I forget what we paid for the last year I had them. I left town and only occasionally came back into town and got the pair from my friend when he didn't want to go.

I've always wanted to sit on row 1 with my feet on the court for a big playoff game. I would imagine those are corporate seats, but not sure. With my luck, I'd shell out the money for one and the Spurs would lay an egg. The last time I sat down in the Charter section was down in section 24 row 10 for the 1st game of the PO this year against Denver, and we all know how that turned out...

I'm curious...why would you rather sit across from the team than behind the team? I've sat between the teams before (behind the scorer's table)...and that was really cool. You could see so much.

I just think sitting on the floor, with nothing between you and the action on the court, would be really neat.
