All the lists aregood but Sean Elliot needs to be there somewhere. Also, after the way Kerr was such an a-hole during the Suns series, he may not even make my bottom 5!

4. Robinson-He'd probably be 2 on this list had I seen him play more
5. TP-his dedication to the tear drop and lay-ups impress me, they set him apart from most other PGs

Manu

Parker
Robinson (I know how great he was, don't kill me for putting him last. The current team has my heart right now.)

I never liked him. He annoyed me, and I always thought he was just good enough that the Spurs didn't try for someone better, but not good enough to be Robinson's partner in a championship.

1. David Robinson, C, #50 - My favorite NBA player of all time. Great player, great
guy. The main reason why I followed professional basketball in my youth

2. Sean Elliott, SF, #32 - I was bummed when he was traded to Detroit and
elated when he returned. The Memorial Day Miracle was a top 5 highlight
in Spurs history.

3. Tim Duncan, PF, #21 - Quite possible the greatest power forward ever to play
the game. Cool under pressure, efficient, hardworking. What's not to like?

4. Bruce Bowen, SF, #12 - Call him dirty if you want. He's a great defender and a
hard working son of a bitch! Any coach would want a guy like this defending
the best opposing player night in and night out.

5. Avery Johnson, PG, #6 - Though he now coaches the rival Dallas Mavericks,
Avery helped bring home San Antonio's 1st championship, and validation for
my years of almosts and could have been's as a Spurs fan since 1989.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

George Gervin, G-F, #44 - The original star of the Spurs. Though he played
before I followed basketball, watching archive footage of the Iceman's finger
roll and his smooth, cool play makes his nickname obvious. Was that cheesy
enough?

Willie Anderson, SG, #40 - He didn't have the career people expected he
would have, but he was always a player I rooted for even after he left San Antonio.

1. Robinson - the most athletic 5-man to ever play the game.
2. Duncan - the best PF to ever play the game
3. Gervin - one of the most unstoppable offensive scorers to ever play the game
4. Silas - the Spurs first true PG and consummate floor general. Clutch shooter
5. Elliott - best SF to ever grace the Spurs roster.

Honorable mention:
Larry Kenon - awesome scorer and rebounder
Artis Gilmore - dominant rebounder and defensive force for the Spurs in the early '80's
Alvin Robertson - gets more recent attention for his off-the-court issues, but was the preeminent backcourt defender in the league during his first 4-5 years. Versatile guard who could do it all - rebound, score, pass and defend.

I've only been following the Spurs for 15 years, but I'll give you my favorite 5 over that span:

1 - Duncan
2 - Robinson
3 - Ginobili
4 - Sean Elliot
5 - Chuck Peson (Hey... what can I say? I like guys who can get hot and knock down 3's from half-court. Brent Barry would be #6)

Those were my farvorite 5 of the last 15, but here are the BEST 5 of the last 15 years:

1 - Duncan
2 - Robinson
3 - Ginobili
4 - Parker
5 - Elliot

Duncan (best PF to ever play the game, the reason we have championships)

Robinson (classy guy, that has given so much to this city. I met him and he was great)

Manu (no ball check needed here, this guy loves the pressure and has guts)

Bruce (best defender ever, he could contain MJ...no doubt)

Sean Elliot (great all around player, and I met him and he was nothing but nice)

Honorable Mention:

Parker (he should have been in that beer commercial, regarding how fast he is)

Avery Johnson (very nice guy, a little annoying when speaks but won some games for us)

Dennis Rodman (the novelty of having a Rodman was great for us)

George Gervin (I never really had a chance to watch this guy play)
