View Full Version : GM2 = biggest game of series

Spurs Dynasty 21

If the Spurs lose Gm2, they face must wins in both Gm 3 and 4, and if the SPurs lose Gm3 series is over as Duncan's Spurs have never come back from 2-1

I really hope the Spurs don't play like shit at home, even though we have the worst home fans in the NBA

may God be with the Spurs tommorow

if if if

every game is the 'game of the series'. i will say that putting the jazz in the position of needing to win 4 out of 5 against this spurs team to win the series would be very nice.

There are no big games until game 5 of ANY series. If we win game 2, I lose my vBookie, because it will be over in 5. If we lose game 2, it's over in 6, Spurs win. We're splitting in Utah, either way.

Dude, you are the king of hyperbole and exaggeration.

EVERY game is the biggest game of the series to you. And yeah, every game is important, because there is always something. Game 2, we need to defend our home court and send it back up 2 to a tough arena. Game 3 is either shutting them down or regaining home court. Game 4 is either closing it out or an attempt to go up 3-1 or necessary to tie it up. Game 5 is an elimination game, or the game that puts up 3. So on and so on.

No need to go mental over it. Everyone, including the Spurs themselves, are pretty confident that winning tomorrow is a lot better scenario than losing tomorrow. Winning is pretty much always better than losing.

Just lay back and enjoy the show and watch these two good basketball teams go to work.

It will be more exciting that Game 1 though, hope its a sell-out

They should win Game 2...I hope they're not too tired...at least they will have two extra days of rest before Game 3 in Utah, which isn't until Saturday.

Seriously, I am not sweating this series AT ALL.

What teams have knocked a HEALTHY Tim Duncan from the playoffs since '99?

Kobe and Shaq's Lakers and......

That's right, that's it. NO WAY does this particular Jazz club meet that standard; it's just not a good enough team.

I wouldn't be surprised with a let-down (in the first round sense of the Spurs playoff history), but that would be followed in the next game by a dominating performance.

if one were going to coin a game of the series it will be game three which will be the ONLY one the jazz have a slim chance of winning with that note spurs in 4...these guys are rolling stones

I fear we might lose this game 2. If we win, this series is pretty much a lock for Spurs. But if we lose, we might be in trouble.

GO SPURS, don't let down today please!

Agree. You are just overreacting like a mad suns' maiden. I guaranteed not only winning this but a sweep call me crazy or out of my mind I don't care. It's all the same. 100% confidence in this team.

Wouldn't the Spurs just need a split in Utah to get back HCA (if they lose tonight). Why would both games 3 & 4 be must wins?

It's just an emotional roller coaster the way the Spurs seem to love to dig an early hole and then play like demons to get back out of it. Let's just do it the
less stressful way and hold HCA tonight.

Yeah, Duncan was clearly unhealthy against the Mavs last year. That's why he averaged over 30 a game and had 41 in Game 7.

Obviously unhealthy.

His health situation is probably what prevented him from going for 40 a night and 51 in game 7.

Game 2's are weird.. but props to the spurs for showing they can win on the road in the playoffs especially this year... I expect some lull to begin the game.. but like a quick slap in the face I think the spurs will eek this one out by 3...

I think the only person saying this is the biggest game of the series is SpursDynasty.

well... if you're 0-3 down... then Game 4 is big, isn't it?
