View Full Version : The most beautiful basketball of the playoffs was played by the Spurs!

In the first half and when needed in the 4th again. Touch passes, high lows, give and go's, perfect feeds, supreme ball movement, knock down threes, and, of course, timely and incredible defense.

Not even haters can admit that the Spurs played boring ball - it was a signt of beauty and where are the headlines on this!!!

I thought Tim Duncan had some awesome passes in last nights game. He is an excellent passer when he is double-teamed, but last night he had some bounce passes that were incredible. Oberto had a few nice passes as well. The ball movement last night was great. That was a big key to last night's victory.

It was not boring basketball at all.

The Spurs-Dallas series was considered one for the ages and the Phoenix series was hardly boring. When one says the Spurs are boring but yet continues to be in exciting series is contradictary.

Second time Spurs broke 100 points in what was "supposed" to be a boring game...

I bet Okur still remembers the between the legs pass by Tony to Manu...

Of course ESPN didn't show any nifty passing. ESPN hates passing. They showed a dink to Bowen for a three, that's it.

ESPN blows.

This reminds me of a Saturday Night Live skit when Michael Jordan was host, and all the Harlem Globetrotters were white. Their "routine" consisted of crisp chest passes, bounce passes, and set shots :lol

last nite's game was beautiful to watch!

ball movement was great!

this series is becoming 10x better to watch at than series vs. Suns. Less whining from the weaker team

and not to mention Sloan does not have on-the-court tantrums like D'antoni :lol

I don't give a shit what the media says...that was an exciting game last night...once again, of course, the Spurs built a huge lead, then frittered it away in the second half as usual before finally waking up and closing it out. When the Spurs are on and playing with intensity, like in the 2nd quarter, there's nobody better than them in all the NBA. They are truly a treat to watch. :toast

I kept thinking that the offense in the 2nd quarter reminds me of the 2002 Kings, but the Spur have a far more dominant inside player.
And of course, defense is on another level.

I was thinking this exact thing this morning.
When it's all clicking there is nothing prettier to watch. The ball movement that results in a score. The defense that results in a badly hoisted shot or a 24 second violation.
It is a treat to watch. I went to bed smiling and I woke up smiling.

The Suns would make a remarkable WNBA team.

Fabricio has a lot to do with this. He and Duncan play well off of each other. His IQ on the hardwood is off the charts. I even remember Mark Jackson, Van Gundy, and Mike Green being amazed at how well the Spurs were playing on offense.

Agree that when they are on, it's amazing to watch. You just sit back and shake your head in amazement, they make it look so easy.

Furthermore, though we were up by 22 points at one time, that lead never felt safe and it never, until the buzzer felt that we couldn't come down and lose that game. That's exciting.

That Manu Dunk last night was also very fun to see!

The Finley dunk was better. :toast

Being up 2-0 with 3 days rest in front of you will do that! :toast

Being a Tim Duncan fan does it for me.

And knowing that he has never gotten to the Finals and not won it all!
