View Full Version : Duncan ISNT the best PF of all time

First of all, how can duncan be considered a PF, when he is 7'0 and 260 lbs.

If duncan is a PF, then Bill Russell and Hakeem are too, so that makes duncan the 3rd greatest PF or the 5 or 6th best C of all time.

Another thing, why didn't Duncan guard shaq in the primes' of their careers? Duncan is bigger than Hakeem, but duncan never guards shaq. Hakeem OWNED shaq in the NBA finals onm both sides; why didn't duncan ever do that?

I guess since Magic was 6'9", it's foolish to consider him among the greatest point guards of all time. He had to have been a power forward.

And Charles Barkley was like 6'4" with his shoes on, so clearly he was a point guard.

Thanks for being an idiot.

Hey ret@rd, Barkely was like 270 lbs and Magic was only 215.

duncan is 7'0 260 lbs=typical center

why cant duncan guard shaq? i thought duncan was a great defender? Hakeem guarded shaq and OWNED him and hakeem is a little smaller too.

I remember by 1987, when Magic was playing around 255, how the Lakers moved him to play power forward, and traded for a new point guard.

You dumbass.....Height does not make a players position sometimes. Duncan moves better as a forward, such as Dirk does. Hakeem had more center abilities than being a PF.

Learn the game of basketball before you open that stupid PIE HOLE of yours.

Oh, have a great holiday weekend!!!

Funny, I'm thinking that Tim didn't spend every minute of every game defending Shaq because Shaq IS a center and Tim played power forward. That would immediately explain the difference between Tim and Hakeem -- Hakeem was a center; Tim Duncan is a power forward.

And Tim Duncan is probably the best power forward to ever play the game.

Duncan is 6'11, if that.

He was listed as 7' when he first got into the league, apparantly the Spurs wanted to play up the two 7 footers (twin towers).

When Robinson retired Duncan asked that he be listed at his true height.

Duncan is not a pure PF or C - he is a hybrid and thus unique. I have seen Hakeem and Shaq in person - if I were to build a team and had my choice of all of the greats, Duncan would be my first pick because of his versatility and smarts. Magic would be a close second.
